if you want to change the law, change the law. Don't do it through executive orders or activist courts.

This guy is just a backwoods hick. IMO, if you are going to be Atty General of the US, you should be forced to pass the Bar in DC. For some reason a BA from Huntingdon college and a JD from U of Alabama just does not impress me much. It's like the short bus route through law school.

I don't care much for the EO, but I do find it embarrassing that our AG is a hillbilly with a joke college Law Degree.

Must have been an EO. Should have been added by congress as protected by the Civil Rights Act. Obama did much change by EO. He was not the king. It’s long past time to challenge EOs.

Well...I guess it serves the Cait Jenners of the world right. They voted for these morons.

No surprise they voted for Obama. No surprise at all.

I'm referring to voting for Trump. This thread is about Sessions, Trump's AG. Not Obama.

Jeff Sessions is just an old school back woods hillbilly that likes to suck penis .....................

Well...

Title VII prohibits any employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin. Former Attorney General Eric Holder in 2014 interpreted "sex" discrimination to apply to discrimination based on gender identity, while Sessions' DOJ interprets that it only applies to discrimination between men and women.*

Sessions' DOJ argues Holder went beyond the definition of the 1964 law by including transgender discrimination.

I agree that "sex" is not the same as "gender," at least not if we accept how SJW's would like us to define the term.

According to the new-think of SJW's, people aren't born male or female; they are "assigned" their gender arbitrarily by some Doctor.

Thus, anyone can change their "gender" simply by self-declaration. Male, female, trans-gender, cis-gender, fluid gender, fairy, attack helicopter, etc.

Meanwhile, "sex" is the drab identifier based on ones genitalia; that is when the term is not being used for the act of attempting to procreate. ;)

Sooo, by definition legal protections on the basis of "sex" must be limited to the type of genitalia the person has.

Thus "gender" is not protected.

I agree with him...

I agree with how Sessions is defining sex verse how the previous administration used it as a catch all.

I don't agree that being transgender opens one up for harassment.

Hopefully Congress will act and put laws in place protecting transgender people.

Ohhhh. That completely went over my head. Rolls eyes.

Actually, it's about how I believe the US AG should be required to pass the DC Bar Exam, but that wasn't in the news today.

I like the idea if having to pass a Bar exam, but why make it DC? Is the DC Bar exam significantly different than say a Maine Bar Exam? Wouldn't a exam comprised of all 50 (57 if you are an Obamaphile) states verse picking one be more logical

DC is supposedly one of the more difficult ones. Certainly much more difficult than Alabama. I could probably pass the AL bar exam, and I never studied law. It's really easy.

How did you come to the conclusion Alabama was an easy exam? A Google search on easiest BAR exams doesn't rank it in the top 10 easiest? Is it because you don't like Republicans and think Red State Bar exams must be easier? Is it you don't like Sessions? Or simply just pulled that statement out your ass?

I would want to be hired because I am qualified, nothing else. What the hell is wrong with that?
Good on Sessions.

And if you get hired because of your qualifications but then fired because the boss doesn't want any he/she freaks working for them, nothing job related just doesn't like them trans weirdos, then what?

Good

A dude that decides to put on a dress and bra does not deserve special protections

And what college did your law degree come from?

Of course, it's much more complicated than that. But, I get that you don't understand. Thanks for making that clear.

Jeff Sessions = ignorant and sad bigot
