Death Toll more than Doubles in Puerto Rico, Inappropriate Response

Um no I was In the Army and am very familiar with their ability to mobilize and union contractors have less than zero effect on their progress dow. There.

And again your union strike story is pure B.S. Spread by fake right wing sights
I didn’t say it was a strike, my words were dysfunctional, disputes, corruption and greed. Again, with your naiveté. I sure hope you are not suggesting that the (USACE) doesn’t partner with private contractors union or other with disaster rebuilding.

You are obviously determined to bring this to a political place of blame and shame. Didn’t we learn how inept liberal mayors and local officials can affect relief efforts, does Katrina and that mayor ring a bell?

I guess PR is new on your radar, but it has been a politically corrupt liberal financial mess for years, but I guess you think their bankruptcy is also fake news?

But I remember trump telling them they would forgive their debts, was he lying to them?

My guess is he was referring to the process similar to bankruptcy under PROMESA. Nobody wants to do it because many if not most of those debt bonds are held by Puerto Ricans - people relying on those bonds as a source of retirement income. My own thoughts are that the financial mismanagement in Puerto Rico has made it an inevitability, but it will be a very bad day for the politician who tells the Puerto Rican people they'll be stiffed on $70 billion.

Sorry, Puerto Rico is not our responsibility. They voted to stay independent.

Let me help you with that egregious level of ignorance you are displaying there;

They ran up an absurd debt while doing nothing about their own infrastructure.

So, just like the ignorant republican governor of Illinois has done.

It's a sad tale and we'll give them some help but it's certainly not on our shoulders and no matter how much you hate Trump, he's done more than required to help them out.

uhhh no. Trump is the quicker ****er upper. He's sent people who are all mulling around apparently getting squat done.

Perhaps I am ignorant but I'm certainly not naive enough to want to give my tax dollars to a people who claim disability payments because they cannot speak English.

Wow are you kidding? She has been working day and .night many pics of her all over her district.
Trump flys down for a couple hours two freaking weeks after the storm and passes out a handful of paper towels and you think his was not the photo op?

Trump supporters not only believe he could kick Chuck Norris's ass, they would believe that he had and did it daily if he said he did.

Geraldo does a great job of exposing this Dip S**t. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BryJsCLXTho

Hurricanes kill people and destroy property, but that didnt stop the Op from trying to politicize the death and destruction from Hurricane Maria or the Mayor from wearing her " Nasty " shirt in a press conference the other day

Stay classy indeed.

People aren't dying anymore because of the hurricane hitting and knocking their house on them. Now they are dying because the greatest country on earth has a leader who has refused to appoint anyone to head DHS and right now no one in charge can figure out how to get simple supplies like clean water to areas where american citizens are drinking water that is killing them. Everyone should be outraged at this. PR has it's issues, we can talk about them all yall want, but we should also at the very least be making sure that people have water that won't kill them.

People are dying now in PR due to dehydration and starvation ?

You sure about that ? Because if that were true it would be all over the news, and of its not there's no reason to be outraged

They are dying from diseases due to having to drink from streams or anything else they can find. There are numerous cases of leptospirosis already. The longer people go without clean water the worse it will get. But by all means, let's lecture them about their debt and throw some paper towels at them.
