Wonder if it dawns on these NFL Players

You're crying over someone's socks. How snowflake.

Socks cant do nothin to me... I am like a fairy sprite... nimble and quick. Snowflake that.

There you go... ;)

So what? It's football players, ferchristsakes. Why do you put any importance on what they say or do? Do you think they represent something?
Geez. You're being played. You can either shake your head at the whole sham or get outraged about what guys with no reason to be taken seriously about social issues say.

In a way, I agree your point. To be angry or annoyed gives the protest more respect than it deserves and I mostly ignored it until the NFL decided everyone should do it.

Guess if a white player from Bama wore rebel flags socks with a hangman's noose u wouldn't say a word!

Its just socks....right?

It wasn't that kind of issue untill Trump made it so. The issue would have died a timely death had Trump kept his pie-hole shut.

That when they take a knee in protest against the Cops

They are protesting the only people that were actually running TOWARDS the mad gunman in Vegas...

Another either you're for the cops or against the cops argument.

Did Donald Trump know that when he insulted POWs he was insulting veterans?

Everyone here knows your views on race so it's easy to understand your motivation in obsessing over some football players kneeling. Who cares? Go watch NASCAR.

I'm more cryin' about your lyin'. It's funny how you'll cry racism over the slightest things yet deny the clear message of depicting cops as pigs.

Crying and apologizing for racism. haha

You want my opinion? It's all just grandstanding, by attention-whore athletes. Taking a knee during the anthem is the same as praying on the field or dancing in the end zone. Showboating. And, that's what Trump was doing when he called Kaepernick a SOB and said he should be fired. Showboating. Playing to the crowd. It's all more than a little bit insulting to all of us watching, like we should be that easily manipulated. Football players should play football, presidents should play president (oh, maybe that was asking too much these days), and every one else should sigh, take a breath, and know that it'll all be history in a week or two and we'll have new meat to chew on.
In other words, don't mean nuthin'.

To me it wasn't a big deal until Trump made it so. All the hoopla had died down until he opened his mouth....again. Can you imagine the outrage if Obama had called a football player a SOB???

He definitely threw some fuel on the flames but the response from the NFL was ridiculous. If you didn't know what it was about, you'd think some entire team was killed in a plane wreck or one of the stadiums was bombed.

Well Trump did sue the NFL 20 or 30 some years ago - he lost. The man carries a grudge. Do you think the NFL owners appreciated what he said?? Don't think so.

I imagine the response would be pretty much the same as when he called Kanye West a jackass.

I'm sure they didn't, any more than police officers appreciated the piggy socks.

Lying and apologizing for cop hate. haha

Whatever you need to play your pathetic victim card. Socks. You poor, poor victim. Perhaps you should just stick to apologizing for racism and stop with all the sock-inspired crying victim. So pathetic.

Are you kidding me? Trump's moronic twitter post was the catalyst for this firestorm. He forced many people (owners and players) in the NFL to take sides when they never really wanted to.

When I was in law enforcement PIG stood for Pride, Integrity, and Guts.

Colin K was not actually intending to compliment police officers and neither are most people who refer to cops as pigs. I really think most people know this. Heck, I think Colin K would be more insulted if it was thought that he was actually being a big police supporter.

Had you not made such stupid and/or untrue statements about how it's not anti-cop to depict them as pigs, I probably wouldn't have posted in the thread to begin with.

The only thing the players were "forced" to do was kneel and/or link arms and it wasn't Trump insisting on that.

OMG you're still crying about piggy socks? Just stop, you're not a child.

You dont have a clue when it comes to organizational behavior. Many more players joined in the kneeling and holding hands thing as a sign of solidarity after Trump forced them to choose between their teammates or him.

See? This is why I don't believe it when folks like you are all "it's not disrespect". It's obvious what the "piggy socks" meant, and you'd have to be complete idiot or a huge liar to claim otherwise.

What, so disrespecting garbage cops = disrespecting the Flag / America? Personally I'd say defending garbage cops, and the "good" cops that stand around and do nothing about it, is more disrespectful.

Not at all. They are 2 separate things, but it's difficult to even get to the discussion when you have to spend time defending the obvious.

What's the obvious? Maybe I missed your point...

Who can blame them either? They are a team and a league and someone called some of their teammates mothers bitches. With many of the players being raised by strong single women, that is not going to go over well.

The NFL didn't decide anything.

The players decided.

You're clearly angry and annoyed.
