China will now allow the Kim dynasty in North Korea to fall. China is the lifeblood of the Kim regime. China is fearful of a united Korea under the South Koreans.

So what is China doing? They have secretly been giving the North Koreans nuclear knowledge and material. The true intent is to black mail the West and have South Korean under the control of the Kim dynasty.

Question: How can the Kim dynasty blackmail the US?

NK has acted improperly towards their long term benefactor, and China is not much interested is allowing NK to get stronger given that they are always turning up destabilizing the world.

We will see how far China is willing to go, but they aint happy.

“China wants to make North Korea feel the pain and at the same time leave an exit for North Korea to return to negotiating table,” said Renmin University’s Cheng. “What China is doing is risk-taking. If North Korea continues to provoke, China will be cornered.”

China's fear of a united Korea through South Korea will always remain a much greater threat to them than what Kim has been doing. They will always put up with Kim no matter what.
Solution: Get Kim to control South Korea.

If China proposed, assimilating North Korea, as a Chinese Territory, I.E. No Kim, but local Chinese authority,
I wonder how many would object. It may not be completely desirable to the US and South Korea,
but would be an improvement over what is going on now.

That's a pretty big IF. I don't think that China wants anything to do with that entire mess, but I have to think SK might prefer it to the constant fear they live in right now. It's an interesting idea though.

I'd actually be ok with that. The Chinese government is generally made up of sane, reasonable people.

I think we should put an end to that right possibility. His having a nuclear or even hydrogen bomb makes it too dangerous that he might figure out a way to really hurt us.

Probably nobody would counter China for annexing North Korea like Russia did a few times in Europe. But the precedent would be really bad.

I am not sure it would be a precedent, it seems to happen a lot.
We went into Panama, because we did not like the leadership.
As long as China got UN approval, everyone should be happy, (Well maybe not Kim).

I would like to see links to prove China assisted with NK nukes. I state that to be bullcrap. China would rather have Kim as a neighbor than having the USA and its military in South Korea. The USA is so neighborly, like Libya, Vietnam, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Panama, Grenada, etc., ad infinitum. War is good business in the USA, but I don't think most of the World feels the same way about it. I'm sure Trump, the Mouth that roars, doesn't mind if 20 million or so South Koreans die as long as he can cast a heroic image across the USA MSM. I don't think Kim wants to blackmail the USA, but the MSM wants you to think that. I think he'd like the USA to just leave Koreans alone and let them re-unite as one Nation. They are all Koreans. Bottom line is that the USA wants military in South Korea to maintain a close threat to China. China doesn't want us there. We don't belong there.

North Korea is generally....well, very few would be dismayed by the loss of the Kim regime. The precedent could be positive - a warning to the rogue states that there's only so much the international community is willing to put up with.

Korea reuniting would be a nightmare scenario for Kim.
