Why is a comedy site a source of some much needed perspective

Got through 3:42 of the stupid and then, when the stupid became intolerable, I checked to see how much time was left on the video (to see if I could make it through) but yeah...23 minutes of stupid? No thanks.

The real question is why does a "comedy" site post more political/news articles than comedy ones

Erm their library of comedy videos is so much larger that I can only conclude you're straight lying here so help me out.

Nobody cares.

I usually only scan the first couple of minutes of these clips... first time I saw this guy. He had me actually smiling about stuff that really isn't funny, but really is real. I watched the entire thing.

I watched the entire thing as well. It's a shame that it was so correct.

Videos yes, but their articles are about 50/50 as far as comedy vs news. I have been reading the cracked website for about 7 years and I have really noticed a big trend away from comedy articles in the past couple of years

There are a few good pieces on why comedy is better at informing us about politics than the sites listed as news.

Yet Another Study Shows US Satire Programs Do A Better Job Informing Viewers Than Actual News Outlets
By now it's sadly clear that the nation's satirical news programs do a significantly better job at reporting the news than most of the nation's actual news outlets, despite a fraction of the budget and experience. John Oliver's recent analysis of Miss America scholarship claims, for example, contained more original reporting in a fifteen minute segment than most Apple regurgitation blogs manage to stumble through in an entire year's worth of gadget lust. Not only are satirists now doing a better job unearthing the truth, they're doing a better job explaining complex issues.

Deuce:

Thank you for posting that. It was both informative and darkly amusing. Bravo, sir!

Cheers.

Definitely true...so why did you post it?

You've posted twice now in a thread you claim not to care enough to even know the subject. At some point you put enough effort into not caring that people get suspicious.
