Scarborough to Trump: 'Poor leadership' is golfing while Americans die

I dont care about the mayor of SJ. 18 moronic ridiculous just plain stupid posts by the sleaze bag in chief is embarrassing as hell. trump is supposed to be POTUS and he is acting like a grade school child.

On this one I'm more on the side of President Trump even though I don't care for his tweeting.

The federal government's response has actually been impressive and FEMA had deployment units in place even *before* Maria hit. The Red Cross hospital ship was dispatched, and there was a flotilla of fuel ships that had fuel for the island at bay - but there was a congestion issue in getting the fuel, and other needed supplies off-loaded. That was directly due to incompetence in San Juan. Same with the major airports in San Juan. The mayor failed to get the ports open and air strips cleared in a timely manor.
The San Juan mayor who has been a regular fixture on CNN is pretty much an emotional grandstander, and whether one likes Trump or not, I think it's clear that the CNN's and MSNBC's of the world are desperately trying to make Puerto Rico Trump's Katrina. One can understand someone saying stuff in anger when hit with such a devastating event but the San Juan mayor hasn't stopped. She has plenty of time for CNN interviews but mayors of other cities have also gone on the record and told she has not attended one meeting at the FEMA command center where mayors and other government officials go to let FEMA know what their immediate needs for their people are. The Left along with the media's sleazy tactics "never let a good crisis go to waste" to trash someone they despise . They found one mayor to rip the U.S. in an attempt to make it look like the Trump administration was not doing its job and causing many people to die. Her statements were untrue. And maybe she would have realized just how much was being done if she would have dragged her arse to the FEMA meetings instead of making time for CNN interviews.

If Trump had not tweeted what he did, the media would have likely got away with their perverted coverage. And because of his tweets in response to San Juan mayor's criticisms, the governor of Puerto Rico and other mayors have come out in praise of the administration's efforts multiple times.

Katrina was more a problem of optics and PR is likely also a problem of optics. A lot of decisions should have been made prior to the hurricanes strike and announced. Setting the Jones Act aside should have been automatic useful or not. The 3 star should be holding briefings explaining situation. Golfing should have been off the list. The problem is really dumbass is the WH leadership not the response. trumps 18 tweets last night finger pointing is embarrassing. when trump told his base that PRins are lazy and need to have things done for thing is just pandering to his base. the guy is tacky scum.

Does anyone want Trump to lead the rescue and restoration efforts? i doubt it. Let him stay on the golf course. It would be a blessing if he did nothing but play golf all day for the next three and a half years.

That is all well and good, but he still made the decision in the first place.

And making poor decisions doesnt ever happen? do you think Trump will apologize?

Everything that can be done for Puerto Rico is being done. End of story.

What else does Joe Sourdough expect him to do? Wave a magic wand? Sorry Charlie, but it doesn't work that way.

Clear the roads. Deliver the supplies. Chopper in the supplies where needed. Instead of them sitting in port.

Use USGS data to establish maps of puerto rico... https://pr.water.usgs.gov/public/gis.html

Start there to plan routes where roads are gone. Then FEMA should be organizing the flying in and boating in of 5 ton military trucks and start distributing as fast as possible.

Activate the military units used for water purification. Put up some water bladders as fast as possible.

Set up that giant red cross ship just off shore. Start boating the sick to it. Activate medical units. Chopper them in to remote locations.

The SeaBees should have been there day one clearing debris and constructing temp housing and distribution centers as they have been in past hurricanes relief.

We act like we haven't ever done this before.
