It seems like men are choosing the more important fields in our educational system. Also, even though men and women have about the same average IQ, there are more men with high enough IQs to do the important, high paying jobs. This alone, without even considering that women are more likely to take time off to have and raise children, would explain the wage gap.

Qualify your statement "more important".

Explain what you mean.

More important: philosophy

Less important: healthcare, education, social work

I disagree.

The foundation of civilization is technology. This is rooted in Math and Science. The classic Philosophy of the ancient Greeks is the foundation of Science. The social sciences are a detriment to society because they focus on helping the weak at the expense of the strong. The way to deal with the diseased mind is to institutionalize it, and that is the merciful way. They also push values that do not make us strong. They distract from the emotionally detached focus on constructive logic that has built all civilization.

here is another study i would recommend reading

it is the ongoing 50 year longitudinal study of gifted students:
A study has been following 'gifted' kids for 45 years. Here's what we've learned.

the most significant insight i gained from reading (actually, viewing the enclosed video) the material was the bifurcation of interests between brilliant males and equally brilliant females
males pursued interests in inanimate objects
females were much more inclined to pursue interests having to do with living things

the graph from the OP's post appears to only reinforce that dynamic

That is because men grasp logic well enough to understand that interactions with inanimate objects will always be more logical, far more straight-forward and productive, not leave you frustrated and emotionally drained, and with the exception of physical intimacy, will always be infinitely more gratifying than any interaction he will ever have with a woman.

So..math, in of itself is creative? Prove this. Also, define strong...

Man was not created with an understanding of modern mathematics. No one had any conception of the Pythagorean Theorem until Pythagoras created it. Every single concept had to be created and tested. The first step is creation, the next step is testing, and the next step is the idea standing against testing for an extended period of time. Every single theorem in Mathematics is created and tested. Every single conceptual idea of any field that is created must be tested and withhold actual scientific scrutiny that is applied to a "hard science", or in other words a "real science".

Strong defines the people that are the foundation of society.
