NBA Coach: ‘White People Especially’ Need To Be Made ‘Uncomfortable

The white majority should feel uncomfortable that racism remains a blight on society, despite laws preventing it's most egregious expression. We shouldn't be comfortable that minorities pay the price for being born the "wrong" colour.

I love this part of what he said:

“If you read some of the recent literature, you’ll realize there really is no such thing as whiteness, but we kind of made that up. That’s not my original thought, but it’s true,” Popovich said.

He's right that there really is no such thing as whiteness. Race is a myth. But granted that there's not, exactly who is "we"? He's simultaneously saying that "white people" don't exist and are also responsible for the myth of their own existence.

I agree 100% with this. What is being (purposefully?) ignored is that situations like the recent Stockley case are failures at the local level and must be addressed and corrected at the level of their existence.

Wrong, I have never treated anyone differently based on their skin color. So I will not be uncomfortable and I will not be blamed for the sins of my ancestors or other members of my "race"

Which 'racism' is it that you speak of?

According to Leftist on racial issues it's not what was intended it's how the victim feels: I feel Harassed.

Wow. How many right wing lies can we get on a single thread. Going for a record? Only a few hundred more...

White people already feel uncomfortable... targeting them is offensive.
