Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supremicy

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

Well, since the NFL gets subsidies from the government, you could probably make a 1st Amendment argument.

Cut off the money, then.

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

There is no Constitutional prohibition on demonstrating in the workplace - or anydamnwhere else.

There's no constitutional prohibitiin against calling them un-American assholes.

Which is saying nothing more than "they don't agree with me on everything". So go ahead.

Pfffffffffffffffffffffft, bwa ha ha ha, america is going to stop subsidizing the wealthy? Bwa ha ha ha .....

The Constitution doesn't tell you what YOU can do. It tells you what government CAN'T do. You do not have a constitutional right to demonstrate in the workplace. You do not have the constitutional right of free speech in the workplace. Period.

Bottom line no one is breaking the law and the protest is peaceful whether you agree with it or not.

I do agree with you. But that's not what your post said and not what I responded to. It's up to the individual teams to decide whether they are breaking the rules. Not a constitutional lawyer. And that was my only point.

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

Trump never said "this is fine" regarding white supremacists. Please find me the quote where he said that.

All Trump said about football players is that they should be fired for their disgraceful and ungrateful actions.

The media making something out of nothing.

This is more about the NFL responding to Trump calling its players S.O.B's.....Trump has every right to disagree with the players kneeling and has every right to say he disagrees. But he ,and everyone else, also needs to understand he is the President of these United States. How he says it is VERY important...This "he says what he feels" B.S. is getting out of hand....

Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supremicy

What's "white Supremicy"?

But it's not illegal. That's the standard that Trump's judged by- is it illegal? No? Then it's perfectly acceptable.

Only if your employer agrees.

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

When the first part of the meme is a lie, it kind of kills the effectiveness, don't you think?
You're right, he didn't say "this is fine", he said, "you also had people that were very fine people on both sides".

Apparently protesting with neo-Nazis and white supremacists gives you the potential benefit of the doubt, but protesting with black athletes at what they see as judicial injustice makes a person a son of a female dog.

So, no, it wasn't really a lie and it didn't kill the effectiveness at all.

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

The comparison I like to use is when the Bundy's, armed to the teeth took over a Wildlife Refuge, caused a $million in damage to that refuge, and threatened to kill law officers. They were seen as 'heroes' and 'patriots' to most Conservatives and they were just exercising their Constitutional right to protest the evil government.

On the other hand Black men kneeling, who aren't threatening anyone, nor are they doing any damage to anything, and they also are exercising their Constitutional right to protest the government.. But the same conservatives see them as traitors.

Hypocrisy seems ingrained in today's Conservative movement.

The Bundy gang didn't listen to law enforcement, had open guns, and still didn't get shot. Black people are always told to listen to law enforcement. Bundy and Ruby Ridge aren't called thugs. They get sympathy from these people.

Seems to be the case. A couple owners were on the field, arms linked, last night.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith questioned why President Trump was condemning NFL players more strongly than he did white supremacists last month.

Smith called Trump’s criticism of NFL players who kneel during the anthem “alarming” because he was “targeting the NFL, targeting the quality and character of guys in this league for that very protest," according to the Kansas City Star.

It’s the same guy who couldn’t condemn violent neo-Nazis. And he’s condemning guys taking a knee during the anthem,” Smith said.

There are bigger issues out there that he probably should be worried about. But for some reason the NFL is on his mind.”.................................

I'm sure this will get me called a Troll for Honestly Voicing my agreement with a NFL White Quarterback who graduated from The University of UTAH

Lies like the point you are trying to make are why Trump could rent a sports stadium, hold a rally and get a bigger crowd than the average NFL game could currently get.

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

Because Trump is a racist and always has been a racist. He is also ignoring 3.2 million Americans without power, food and fresh water in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He also ignores attacks against minority religious buildings and similar. He is a racist, pure and simple.

No, he's not.

Devastated Puerto Rico needs unprecedented aid, says governor | PBS NewsHour

According to PR's governor, last night:

JOHN YANG: Governor, are you getting all the aid you need or getting it fast enough from the states?

GOV. RICARDO ROSSELLO: First of all, we are very grateful for the administration. They have responded quickly. The president has been very attentive to the situation, personally calling me several times. FEMA and the FEMA director have been here in Puerto Rico twice. As a matter of fact, they were here with us today, making sure that all the resources in FEMA were working in conjunction with the central government. We have been working together. We have been getting results. The magnitude of this catastrophe is enormous. This is going to take a lot of help, a lot of collaboration. So, my call is to congressmen and congresswomen to take action quickly and conclusively with an aid package for Puerto Rico.

He's visiting Puerto Rico today. And according to the mayor of San Juan:

Sharing harrowing details of rescue efforts in her city, Yulín Cruz praised the Federal Emergency Management Agency's "great job" and "logistics help."

"Our bodies are so tired, but our souls are so full of strength that we will get to everyone we can get to," she said.

According to Politico, the FEMA effort in Puerto Rico has been unprecedented in its robustness:

Rossello and other officials praised the federal government for planning its response in detail before the storm hit, a contrast with what Puerto Rico has long seen as the neglect of 3.4 million Americans living in a territory without a vote in Congress or the electoral college.

"This is the first time we get this type of federal coordination," said Resident Commission Jenniffer Gonzalez, Puerto Rico's non-voting representative in Washington.

So, as usual, you don't have the faintest idea what you're talking about.

I'm sure you stand and salute every single time you hear the national anthem.

But don't worry, I wouldn't call you an un-American asshole if you didn't.

Average NFL game attendance: 68,400.

Average Trump rally attendance: 27,000.

I really doubt he could consistently get a bigger crowd than an average NFL game.

WOW, foot in mouth much? The Hillary campaign rally where they brought in Beyonce and her Low Testosterone Husband got a smaller crowd than Trumps average.

Trumps multiyear contract (which will last another 7 1/2 years) has already improved the American economy by a hell of a lot more than 28 billion.

Re: Chiefs QB: Why is Trump condemning football players more harshly than white Supre

There is no Constitutional right to demonstrate in the workplace.

The Constitution says this:

the right of the people peaceably to assemble,

Taking over a government run refuge by force, causing a million in damage, and threatening to shoot people is NOT peacefully assembling. So that's not in the Constitution either.

Yet the Bundy's were seen as patriots by the same people who swear the love the Constitution.
