This isnt going to get any better any time soon.

Thank you for proving my point.

Proving your point. You don't have a point. You're just a persona, you said so yourself.

Tell you what. I'll produce a link to me condemning ANTIFA and you produce a link to me defending them. Set a time. Tonight's awkward, how about tomorrow morning about 10 am., PST.
Or, just accept the 'liar' label and slink away.

Which makes sense bc communists are anti fascist

Probably no one is more anti-fascist than a communist. Of course, they aren't any better and have a decent amount in common.

That would be impossible, Communism and Fascism are two very distinct ideologies with very different and opposing goals. They both love big government but that is where it ends.

Another shared characteristic is collectivism, the purpose of which is where they seperate. For Fascists it is collectivism in favor of the state, For Socialism/Communism it is collectivism for the people.

For someone who believes the rights of the individual supercede that of the collective and are against an authoritarian regime that suppresses the rights of an individual there isn't enough of a difference to really seperate Fascists and Communists in their eyes. Which is why you see the conflation of the two from so many.

Really? Dragging out a couple of anecdotes like they prove a generalization?

A couple of anecdotes? How about you give us some examples of democrats in Washington and progressive organisations/leaders who have come out publicly and denounced them?

In the last link I posted, the panel discusses the fact that other than Pelosi, no other democrats have come out and denounced ANTIFA.

So to answer your question... Yes, really.

I don't care about Democrats. Why do you? I'm a liberal and I don't give two sh*ts about what the Democratic party does or doesn't do. Do you? Do you defend anything the Republican Party does?

:lamo

Your posts are tiresome. You **** yourself at the notions that leftists support Antifa, you demand examples, you are given examples, and that just make a new round of excuses. If you had any integrity you would simply admit what is known by all and is blatantly obvious...leftists support Antifa. Leftists support violence as a means to an end.

But...you don’t care. Right?

I had no doubt what so ever that you wouldn't back up your statement. I mean you can not post that which does not exist, so you instead parse words to weasel your way out.

Why don't you just admit that what Fishking said was true? It's the honest thing to do.

Except ANTIFA actually isn't so fringe on the left. They enjoy fairly decent support among progressives.

I wonder if anyone actually believes you'll make such an admission... I know that I don't.

.

Actually it sort of fits, during the past people opposed Hitler and Nazism, but supported Stalin.

This is what cracks be up about communists. They condemn Hitler for the people he murdered when that pales in comparison to those murdered by communist dictators.

Like I said, I don't care what the Democrats do or don't. Who speaks for the left? Vox?

the NY Post?

Noam Chomsky. He speaks for the left, right?

Seems to me that nearly everyone on the left side of the spectrum is against those thugs. Seems to me that the whole 'the left supports Antifa' boondoggle is just the fringe right playing partisan games. It's dishonest, at best. Like I told someone else, if I knew of two right-wing racists, I could say, "Right wingers support white supremacists." and be technically true, but it'd still be dishonest.

I cant help but wonder what people see as an end game to all of this.

Side note...that those ignorant ****s are there, protesting with masks on under a Communist flag screaming at the cops sort of demonstrates the lie of 'fascism' in this country.

Hard to believe the left looks up to these guys and defends them.

No, I am not. I fully believe you subscribe to the delusion you claimed though.

The only ones delusional are you and the other left wingers who liked you post claiming they weren't fascist.

Whether or not you care about democrats or not is irrelevant... The are the elected politicians, the political leaders who represent the left in Washington DC.

As for the article, it presents not one quote of condemnation of ANTIFA by anyone prominent on the political left.

FAIL

Strike 2... Again, no quote from anyone and no mention of anyone by name, but this paragraph was interesting:

"The antifa crowd has a very similar agenda with regard to American liberalism. These goons and thugs oppose free speech, celebrate violence, despise dissent and have little use for anything else in the American political tradition. But many liberals, particularly in the media, are victims of the same kind of confusion that vexed so much of American liberalism in the 20th century. Because antifa suddenly has the (alt-)right enemies, they must be the good guys."

FAIL

Surely Mother Jones. They're about as far left as you can be without leaving the mainstream...

Chomsky "criticized" ANTIFA, but not for their violence. He said "What they do is often wrong in principle – like blocking talks – and [the movement] is generally self-destructive,”

What he said concerning the violence was tactical criticism, not denunciation: "When confrontation shifts to the arena of violence, it's the toughest and most brutal who win – and we know who that is. That's quite apart from the opportunity costs – the loss of the opportunity for education, organising, and serious and constructive activism."

Then to top it off, the article focuses heavily on the fact that Chomsky is receiving backlash by the left on social media for having dared to publicly criticize ANTIFA. The sub headline reads "World-renowned academic prompts criticism for his comments about the anti-fascist movement in the wake of Charlottesville"

FAIL

The Daily Signal quoting a liberal Harvard professor...

Harvard Professor Calls Out Antifa for Trying to ?Tear Down America?

They're very conservative, and they don't seem to think that 'the left' backs Antifa.

That story was written based on an interview of Alan Dershowitz on Fox & Friends back on August 22nd. Dershowitz was criticizing the left for among other things, not speaking out against ANTIFA. He basically said that just because they are the enemy of the right, doesn't make them your friends. Here's the actual interview:

Yes, Dershowitz did for all practical purposes condemn ANTIFA, but he basically feels like he's the only prominent liberal who has.

This is a writer at liberal blog... A nobody who's piece was all about attacking Trump. He doesn't quote anyone of prominence denouncing ANTIFA.

It's not dishonest, it's tragically true. I'll admit that some on the left are starting to distance themselves from ANTIFA. But the only reason some are doing so is because of the bad press over the last few weeks ANTIFA has received. But that's a far cry from denouncing them, which only a precious few have had the integrity to do.

Like I told someone else, if I knew of two right-wing racists, I could say, "Right wingers support white supremacists." and be technically true, but it'd still be dishonest.

This isn't about what you think, this is about the fact that ANTIFA has been engaging in violent, deplorable activity for a very long time and until the past few weeks, never had any public figure on the left call them out or denounce them. They have long enjoyed the silent, and not so silent support from the left, that based on how few have spoken out against them, continues to this day.

No, I hate to break it to you buddy but both facts and history show them not to be fascists. Your opinion is useless in the face of that

This is why left wingers are crazy. Facts and history show that they are mass murdering fascist. All the deluded lib-tard revisionist history that you are trying to spew doesn't change that.

Actually, history shows the exact opposite bud. Only historical illiterates try to pretend fascists are "left wing" and no matter how much you hate liberals, that doesn't change the truth.

Which is completely false, as Adolf Hitler and his cronies were rather explicitly not left wing. You are the one engaging in revionist history right now.
