Just to be clear, you are OK with teaching a whole team of 8th graders that the police are racist and can't be trusted.
Is that what you are saying here?
Is that what they were doing?
Kneeling during the anthem from what I understand is to bring awareness to a situation people feel strongly about. Why does it have to be racist or cop hating?
And just to be clear we as people of color have to teach our children differently it's just that simple. Those that are not taught may end up dead.
With 3 police officer, 1 sheriff, and 5 firefighters in the family I don't hate nor teach hate but there are things that my children must do different and that's fine because it's up to us as parents to prepare children for the world. And all my LEO family has informed and shown us all what we should and shouldn't do, take the arrest, abuse whatever and deal with it later never on the scene.
My daughters along with all the new young drivers have been taught if you are being pulled over or stopped in a deserted area call 911 and explain where you are and what's happening.
And yes I am okay with teaching... just because someone wears a uniform does not mean they are the good guys....most yes but not all.
Just as every teacher, counselor, priest, or any other person all human some more flawed than others.
