Why in the world would the mainstream media continue to take James Clapper seriously?

In March the former Director of National Intelligence under President Barack Obama appeared on Meet the Press to respond to President Donald Trump‘s now-infamous tweets regarding a “wiretap” related to his campaign during the Obama Administration. Host Chuck Todd asked Clapper point-blank whether any wiretap had occurred:

There seems to be a consistent pattern here: President Trump makes an audacious claim. Democrats & MSM declare he is crazy or lying. A while later President Trump is proven right.

Manafort left the campaign Aug 19, what day did the secret court approve this secret wire-tap?

See I dont know that this was a lie.

2014, they wire tapped Manafort long before he had anything to do with Trump

so the statement "There was no such wiretap activity mounted against the president, president-elect, candidate or campaign" was correct

Besides that, the existence of the wire tap and the FISA court's action has been leaked to the press. That is also illegal. Unless the information is leaked it has no political value, only criminal. That's why these leaks are so important and the leakers should do hard time.

"Intelligence services gone rogue" is what the democrats used to warn us about until the agencies started working for them!

You understand that Pro Trump people might have leaked this thinking that it proves Trump right that Trump Tower was tapped....but yes generally we have been watching senior members of the government attack the government in the effort to weaken and I say remove the man the people picked, because he is not Kosher with them, he is not on their team....He turned traitor to the Elite Class.

He lives, and has always lived, in Trump Tower. They can't wiretap him without wiretapping trump tower.

Trump let him go because he was not effective, I think because he never expected Trump to do well so for him this was just a payday, and he was not interested in working too hard. Remember too that he was replaced with Conway, who everyone knows was by no stretch of the imagination a campaign manager, nor was she ever intended to be, because Trump was throughout his own manager. I dont fault Manafort a ton for is slight contributions to the team, but he could have done better, he could have helped more. His lack of effort looks a lot like Priebus's failure in the WH, a failure to jell with Trump for sure as well as a failure to overcome the difficulties of working for Trump but we must be mindful that Trump is partly responsible for the failure of the relationship.

You mean the bill that R Ghomert from Texas introduced and was sent to committee a year and 3 months ago and no other action has been taken on it? Do you think that is a law? I remember this cartoon about how a bill becomes a law. Maybe you should study that closely.
