Trump's speech to the UN

We do. But you have no evidence to refute all those points.

I learned long ago the futility of trying to convince Napoleon confined to an institution that he is not the French Emperor.

Sounds like solid approach.

No I think he is the same person on Twitter and off Twitter. He is one of the few people in power willing to say what he thinks.

I agree... that problem is that his thoughts are stupid.

There's no wonder behind why NK taunts America. America is the big dog, and Kim Jung Un wants to feel like a big man standing up against some mighty foreign empire. Plus they are Commies on China's side and the commies have always played the part opposite of us. Plus there was the whole Korean War thing where we played a big part in military campaigns against North Korea. There's no mystery here. We're the natural country to taunt. We have fought against them, we are idealistically different from their forms of communism, we represent the leader of all of it.

The saber rattling is just for ego. And now that is on both sides. Used to be we were a bit above that, but I suppose lowering ourselves to the level of some fat, ignorant, pampered, tyrannical dictator is what we do now. I hope all this saber rattling and childish banter doesn't lead to anything else. I wish Kim Jung Un would just log onto twitter and have a social media war with Trump so those two could keep the rest of the world out of their little Jr. High pissing contest.

Good post.. but I disagree its just saber rattling.

There is a good possibility that Kim Jung has a bigger plan... and that's of conquest.

Once he has nuclear weapons capable of hitting the US or our allies.. its not a matter of "assured destruction"... now its a matter of how much the US will intervene in his affairs if he can lob a nuke and kill 10 million people.

Say he is capable of hitting Guam or the American base at Japan with a nuclear weapon.

this potentially frees him up to attack south korea... And how much does the US want to risk for south Korea.

Time and time again.. countries totally misread the resolve that americans have. Saddam Hussein never thought in a million years we were willing to put troops in harms way for Kuwait.. and I believe he told Donald Rumsfeld that in person.

Trump is such an embarrassment. He's trading childish name calling with Kim Jung-un. Rocketman vs Dotard.

What's a dotard?

Oh....
an old person, especially one who has become weak or senile.
lol

This would be highly amusing if these two idiots didn't have nukes. If Trump causes a nuclear catastrophe I say Trump voters should be banned from voting.

So how many years do we try it with hugs and kisses, or should America keep playing them off.
Apology tour has ended. We gotta get back to king of the hill.

regardless of the results.

You mean nuclear war? You mean millions of dead South Koreans and possibly Japanese and Americans stationed in South Korea?

Just like your hero you don't understand the situation. Just tough talk without thinking anything through.

Bush and Obama managed to get through without turning the Korean peninsula into a nuclear wasteland.

No, the problem is that he makes his thought process public. I will agree that that is stupid. None of the rest of us do that.

If his thought process weren't so stupid, then making it public would be much less of a problem.

I didn't say his thought process is stupid. I said making it public is stupid.

if his though process was smart.. no one would think he was stupid..

Instead.. we see his thought process.. and his thought process is well.. it seems nonexistent...

oh AND he is dumb enough to then tweet it.

You think he is stupid. I don't.

Yeah. But the problem is that you have a lot of Napoleons out there voting for your future nowadays.

North Korea would lose any conventional war. They have no desire to launch an attack on South Korea.

They have a large number of troops but outdated equipment. What they do have is a lot of artillery that can devastate South Korean cities.

South Korea has shiny new modern weapons from the U.S. and millions in reserve troops. Plus American troops based their.

I don't think North Korea has any expansionist plans. They can barely run their own country much less any massive occupation of the South.

Hmmm.. I don't think that North Korea sees it that way.

Just like Saddam felt that he would be successful in Kuwait.
