St. Louis prepares for verdict in trial tomorrow

I don't support violent protests. I don't support anyone going there to try and use the incident for violence and destruction.

What I can say is that if it was a friend or member of my family involved, I was privy to the full details of this case, and I believed, based on those details, that justice had not been served, I wouldn't stay silent and I would become the worst nightmare to those responsible for the decision.
What if the evidence, while compelling, simply didnt support a guilty verdict? Would you have the wisdom and grace to accept it?

Last time I was there was 1974.....looked at the derelict Union Station.....really creepy it was, and ate flapjacks at a Sambos.

Notwithstanding that I am right.

You haven't been to St. Louis for 33 years yet you say what you have, Hawkeye10? Too bad you haven't seen Union Station lately ...

I get the internet here....

So you haven't had boots on the ground for 33 years in St. Louis ...

Nor do I need to to know what is going on.....

I dont need to walk the halls of Lambert to know that it was built for something much bigger than it is today for instance.

Or to know that the Rams bugged out, and were even willing to be sleezy to do it.

Or that Anheuser Busch got eaten and effectively is no more...I'm Shrinking!

Just as a for instance.

EDIT: Look man I dont want to fight you, we all know it is a sad story, I dont know the cause but I can see with my own eyes what happened.

Reading all the details from several sources its hard not to see this as a case where the shooting of this guy was justified...right up until the part where the cop is alleged to have planted a gun. Shooting him...even if he was unarmed...justified IMO. Planting a gun on him? That indicates premeditation...worthy of a guilty verdict. I think the judge will rule against the cop.

That doesnt guarantee there wont be rioting.
Yeah, I also figure at worse they're going to hang him on the drop piece.

From what is reported...the DNA evidence on the gun is pretty damning. No DNA from the 'victim'...blood from the cop (when no blood was reported at the time of the shooting) on the gun, AFTER he is seen going into a bag in the back seat of a squad car and rummaging through a bag...it looks bad at the very least).

This might be one that is deserved (to be locked up).

Stockley stated he would kill Smith, Stockley did indeed murder Smith, Stockley planted a 'throw down' weapon, a weapon that was later revealed to be Stockely's, and yet the judge pronounced a NOT GUILTY verdict.

This is a particularly sad day in our nation, when police can brutally murder citizens utilizing the above tactics that go completely against the ideals of our nation & our freedoms.

One can only hope that Stockley, the judge, and ALL others involved in this injustice will very soon have their own justice.

Just **** them all ...............

I'd like to know all of the evidence presented and how the judge came to this conclusion.

He'll be found not guilty and the people won't riot. Everyone will be disappointed except for Stockley.

Still going with that? Businesses are closing early today for the safety of their employees. Are they just being paranoid?

Ever been in the area from the Arch to the Scottrade Center. Been to new Busch yet?? How about their universities??? Do you think GOPs have it in for cities because of the way they vote ????

I have been through every gut there is in St. Louis and I know your white ass didn't go hanging out in the hood......... just from your posts.

St. Louis is a living **** hole unless you are in the immediate downtown area or out in the "burbs".

I defaulted on a contract with a major trucking company because they kept sending me into the Chrysler plant. After the 40th or so trip in, I left their loaded trailer at the East St. Louis truckstop and told them to **** off.

So was the guy that got shot a heroin dealer?

He was on parole for drug distribution and theft.

So he was a real winner. Doesn't mean he can be shot for no reason. I haven't fully read the story. But it sounds like we have a racist POS cop and a POS drug dealing thug who is also a thief. ****.

You should read the whole story before coming to any conclusions.

You seem to have a wish for me to be wrong. How important is it to you that your wish be met?

Former St. Louis police officer who shot driver after car chase found not guilty in murder trial

Not guilty..

based on the evidence..? should have been guilty.

Good try twisting my words, Phys. I'm not taking the bait.

A guilty verdict means that the judge heard evidence that would cause him to believe with no doubt in his mind whatsoever that this was murder. What evidence, specifically, was presented that showed without a shadow of a doubt that he was guilty?
