Why is this still an "interesting story?"
I really don't understand this preoccupying fear in our society regarding sex and sexuality.
I recognize that it is a "thing," since every species strives to survive and sex is the way of the animal kingdom to perpetuate the species.
I also recognize that different cultures develop differing views on what is and is not taboo.
IMO Western society has gone Uber-Victorian, making out that the naked body exposing the "secret parts" in and of itself is inherently harmful and offensive to the human psyche.
But to me, the human body is the vehicle of our lives...we are born without clothes, and for most of human existence our species didn't always wear clothing. Even when our species started to it was either to keep warm in the winters or to protect especially "sensitive parts" from irritations. Our complex clothing rituals grew from there.
While I've never felt the need to "share," I don't know how many times I've been exposed to unsolicited naked pictures over my lifetime...I just shrug it off like any other junk mail, and trash it.
Seem like most people today treat this like actual sexual assault. "I'm offended! It's destroyed my faith in humanity!" Get real.
Okay so for about three seconds you've been exposed to something that every male or female has (including yourself, depending on your sex). I agree, anyone in a position of authority who does this should lose their job...be shamed and shunned for stupidity.
But by criminalizing this behavior, aren't we taking this stuff to extremes?
I've read stories of kids who are being charged with a crime simply because they have a naked picture of themselves on their own phones. This because it MIGHT be seen by someone who MIGHT be offended. Soooo...we criminalize the kids because this is "child porn" and we need to "protect them from themselves?" If that's the case then I've been exposed to child porn all my own childhood...every time I showered after gym class, played sports, went to locker rooms to change clothes, seeing other kids at nude beaches. Hell, ADULT porn in most of those places.
IMO sexual assault occurs when you are actually assaulted, not when you are merely offended. Non-violent expression is often as not offensive to someone.
So if this family would prefer to stay together even if dad gets off sending dick pix to random women? (Or mom her Va-jay-jay to random men?) Why care?
Meanwhile, if you get one? Laugh at it and trash it...and move on with your life. There are more important things to stress over. Just saying. :coffeepap:
