President Eisenhower did not consider it liberal to make the rich pay more in taxes ...

Are you for taxing the rich more?

I love how you always ask me questions, but you never criticize Trump. I don't recall if Trump ever specifically said that he wouldn't tax the rich. Though there are plenty of times where he said we would have the lowest tax rates ever in this country. It's once again stupid obvious hypocrisy from Trump, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not I would agree with the plan he has concocted with Democrats.

Nope, it is starting to get very interesting. Trump must be planning on some really big increases in federal spending if he's already talking about the need for more taxation and dealing with the demorats.

He was talking about Florida and Texas today. How great a job he is doing there, so that might have something to do with it. He never had any intention of balancing the budget either.

Um -- what? I spent the entire primary, election and after criticizing Trump.

I'm just curious what you think about taxing the rich.

If you did, I never saw it. Not sure why you are so curious about my viewpoints all the dang time. Are you stalking me or something? Yes, of course, you must tax the rich at some points, but to do it just for wins with Democrats is stupid and not a very Republican thing to do. Do you agree with that?

Platforms change over the years, and it's been about half a decade since Eisenhower was in the Oval Office.

More like a half a 'century'. We wouldn't have the Eisenhower Interstate System without those tax rates. And we won't be able to upgrade failing infrastructure without taxes.

GOPs should stop blocking necessary infrastructure, especially for our Brothers and Sisters in the South hit by two hurricanes. Like 17 GOP Senators, 90 GOP house members and zero DEMs did ...

And Eisenhower is still a fantastic president by any and every metric. If Trump fashions himself like Ike, then he'll be the greatest president in 60 years.

Then you weren't looking.

Yes, I'm stalking you. That's why I reply to you once a week or so.

I agree that Trump is no conservative and has no idea what conservatism is. He's also no classic liberal -- taxing the rich is a progressive and/or statist move. Many Republicans are more progressive, so I don't know how to answer you question about how Republicans should act.

So you agree with Trump in this instance. That's all I was asking.

****! I meant half a century - I clearly wasn't under the impression that he took over after Obama.

I can certainly agree that blocking infrastructure in red states is a stupid hill for the Republicans to plant a flag on.

Oh look. More liberal policies from the con artist in chief:

Here's an important thing gained when you do massive interstate infrastructure projects: You connect the country!

You come together as a country, as a people, and you connect the country physically as well through transportation networks.

This is what the greatest generation kick started during the Eisenhower years, and it carried through the Kennedy years. We all stood in silence, reverence, and awe - everyone - when Armstrong stepped into the lunar dust. And we all cheered together! In unison!

Well my friends, we need a little of that today. So let's work together and build something together. Maybe something special. Maybe something superlative. That is how you feel great! Together!

That might be a bit of a reach, but I like where you're going with this.

It's time we build something. And yes, this might be the right guy to build something. As much as it pains me to say it!
