What do you think?

A bunch of drama queens.

the storm is moving at 7-8 mph but they feel the need to update us every 10-15 minutes repeating the same thing over and over again.

Where you been the last 30 years.. that is what 24/7 news channels do.

I'm not even watching it. My cousin has two homes outside of Tampa. Lives here. She spent all DAY yesterday watching the same **** over and over and over again. Why do people DO this? I watched for a few minutes in the morning. And I'll catch up again tonight,

I think people are goofy.

It's best to watch your local news or listen to local radio, they have actual information you can use to stay safe without all the hype of folks with cameras standing on the beach telling you it's not safe to stand on the beach... sheesh folks get a grip!

If she loses her homes or they are badly damaged, make sure to get back to us on how silly she is.

Don't be a Smarty Pants. She will neither lose her homes nor have them badly damaged. They're brick. And IF she does have wind damage, both associations will cover the roofs and her insurance will cover everything else. It's only stuff. I may have a slightly different perspective on things, but, if you can solve a problem with money? You don't have that big a problem.

Tampa is a direct hit and there is a predicted storm surge of 15 feet. You don't think she would mind being underwater or losing all of her possessions and home because she has money?

Why are you making this assumption. Good grief. But tell me how watching 15 hours of Fox News is going to make a difference.

Because I've been keeping tabs on the news and watching the latest updates on the storm path and intensity, lol. The fake news is able to predict the path of the storm by getting info from the fake scientists. This is how the fake storm knows where to go and what to do.

Brian Williams is doing a real good job on MsNBC right now. Once the hurricane passes he'll take credit for ending it.

I watched about 30 seconds of leftist media's Irma coverage and then turned the tv off. Hyped to no end. They acted like it was the end of the world, global warming finally got us.

Yes - it s climate change

That doesn't mean the coverage doesn't suck. Now if OJ was hanging in the breeze, the country would be riveted...:doh

On some aircraft carriers there was a small section of the island that was named vultures row, a place where shipmates could watch jets landing.

News coverage of hurricanes reminds me of this.

It is pretty interesting to note that the computer models pretty much sucked all the way through this event.
About the only thing they got right is that the storm generally moved up through FL.
As far as projecting the track, I probably could have done as well throwing darts at a map.

Computer models. Yay!

From day one, computer models said it was going to hit Florida

Florida = 500 Mile Long 160 Mile Wide
Irma = 400 Miles diameter

Darts?

You playing coy? How wide was the eye?
But you are probably right. Time = billions of years wide. Warming = .5 deg +/-
The models will probably fall in there somewhere.

I honestly could care less what people believe anymore.

If a Disaster Expert and Climatologist tells me my life is in danger, I'm going to listen to them.

Those who don't, why would I care?

LOL.. My God,. I swear if Conservatives don't have something to bitch at and to hate they're not happy.

You don't like the Hurricane coverage? You think like Limbaugh and think Irma is a big 'leftist' conspiracy? (that's a good one, BTW). Well then there's this button on your remote control. It says 'POWER', it turns your TV on and off. If your TV is 'ON" and showing the leftist fake news about the imaginary Hurricane Irma? Push the 'POWER' button once. That will turn off your TV.

Wasn't Fox News showing Hurricane coverage, or where they playing Reagan's Greatest Hits.

Sounds like your bitching right now:)

No I'm not. I know where the power button is on my remote. ;)

Anyway I just find it hilarious when people complain about 24/7 news coverage but then they don't seem to know they can turn off the 24/7 coverage. I haven't had a Fox News or CNN or ABC evening news on in DECADES! I don't even have any of the 24/7 news channels on my Channels list. I skip right over them. lol

my sister and her family live in west palm beach. they stayed at a friends house because it was more secure then hers.

just spoke to her a few minutes ago. cell phone reception was choppy. they are back at home now. fortunately no damage to the house. currently no power. lots of debris and a few trees down in the yard. her husband is having to clear away debris so they can get into the garage to get the generator out.

I hear tampa got a little lucky in that the storm veered a little further east then expected. hope your cousins are doing fine
