How are they the same you ask, it is simple. In the 1960's a major part of the scientific community told us that cigarette smoking was bad for your health and could cause cancer. A small portion of the scientific community, mostly those hired by the cigarette companies, said there was no proof of a direct cause between cigarette smoking and cancer. Well today we know better and I thought we no longer believe scientists that are paid by companies to twist information in the direction desired by the companies. Now we have the industries who sell us carbon based fuels that they are not any part of the cause of our changing climate and all of the problems that climate change is causing. And they have their scientists lined up to prove it, gee, just like the cigarette industry of 50 ears ago. Like the 60's a vast majority of scientists today are telling us that part of climate change is man made and basically the burning of carbon based fuels. But also exactly like the 60"s, those who won't believe will point to those paid scientists and say, there is no direct proof and it just ain't true. Maybe some time in the future people will be suing the oil companies for damages, just like with tobacco. Too bad so many will have to die, like with tobacco, until everyone sees the truth.
