Its a great article, a lot of information and facts, so question is very simple, does Trump understand "that Putin Is at War With America" ? if not why ?...

"

...Moscow launched an unrelenting campaign to use the foundations of open democracy against itself.

This consisted of mass-media manipulation, working with unsavory Western lobbyists and political operatives, potentially compromising western government officials and elected office-seekers — all of which relied on stirring the pot of popular discomfort and discontent which was emerging in many Western nations.

In other words, Putin’s government did what the KGB (now known as the FSB and SVR) does. It looked at the West’s psychological profile and used it against itself, exploiting the very real problems and divides the U.S. and other nations are wrestling with in order to stop the West from threatening Russia’s power.

..

Finally, there’s Trump’s own attitude toward Russia. None of these are as blatant as the first group of examples, but they often smack of a perhaps unwitting willingness on behalf of some Americans to advance Russia’s interests at the expense of the West’s for any number of reasons.

All of this fits an age-old KGB modus operandi of using a variety of asymmetric methods to turn rivals’ internal weaknesses against themselves. The Russian security services embrace a fluid and confusing form of physical warfare which aims to take advantage of adversaries’ social, political, and economic weakness through what the 2016 NDAA describes as “activities conducted to enable a resistance movement or insurgency to coerce, disrupt, or overthrow a government or occupying power by operating through or with an underground, auxiliary, or guerrilla force in a denied area.”

...

Per NATO’s own magazine:

As the conflict in Ukraine illustrates, hybrid conflicts involve multilayered efforts designed to destabilise a functioning state and polarize its society. Unlike conventional warfare, the “centre of gravity” in hybrid warfare is a target population.

The adversary tries to influence influential policy-makers and key decision makers by combining kinetic operations with subversive efforts. The aggressor often resorts to clandestine actions, to avoid attribution or retribution. Without a credible smoking gun, NATO will find it difficult to agree on an intervention.

The Russian government is doing the same thing to the West in the world of ideas as it has done to Ukraine in the physical realm.

Maybe President Trump should tell Secretary Brian Kemp to present President Putin with a "Reset Button".

A presidential candidate was mocked by a former president because he said that Russia was our enemy.

LOL welcome to 1917.

Listen this is not only Putin. All Empires fall (as seen from history) and new empires rise from the ashes. Putin wants to replace the US as the world leader, as does China and others. Now Putin and others can slowly push the US into insignificance and have been doing so since the end of WW2.

Look at the British Empire.. the US was pushing for decades to replace the Brits as the world leader. So were the Germans and Russians and in part the French. The US won in the end by neutering the British at every level possible. It was clear by the Suez Canal war that, the US was the new bully on the street and the British Empire was no more. The US fended off the Soviets and Chinese at first, but has not been able to maintain its leadership due to poor choices at home and abroad (politically and economically).

Now we are 60 years later and the very same thing is happening to the US and all major countries are positioning themselves to replace the US at the top.

So we have Russia/Putin and China.. Putin seems to be trying to destroy the US, the same way that the US destroyed the USSR.. by bleeding them dry overtime and creating political instability. So far he has been quite good at it, considering he got the con-artist Trump elected. Now China has done another approach by basically making the US so dependent on China, that the US cant really do anything without massive economic and social problems. Yes these two strategies are in direct conflict with each other, and at some point will come head to head and it might be over North Korea.

China does NOT want a war in Korea, and the Russians only want to weaken the US, which a devastating war or humiliating climbdown will do. A bonus is that they are sticking it to their direct competitor in China.

We shall see who prevails of the two, but one thing is for sure.. the US will be the loser thanks to the Trump administration.

THE CLINTON FAMILY BUSINESS; There may be no Clinton Foundation office in Moscow or St. Petersburg, but it is not for lack of trying. Bill Clinton received half a million dollars in 2010 for a speech he gave in Moscow, paid by a Russian firm, Renaissance Capital, that has ties to Russian intelligence. The Clinton Foundation took money from Russian officials and oligarchs, including Victor Kekselberg, a Putin confidant. The Foundation also received millions of dollars from Uranium One, which was sold to the Russian government in 2010, giving Russia control of 20% of the uranium deposits in the U.S. — the sale required approval from Hillary Clinton's State Department. What's more, at least some of these donations weren't disclosed. "Ian Telfer, the head of the Russian government's uranium company, Uranium One, made four foreign donations totaling $2.35 million to the Clinton Foundation. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all such donors," the NY Times has reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, a few years after the donations and the Uranium deal was made. This has all been deflected onto Trump to hide the real reasons the Russians have been acting up.

It's time to realize the accurate definition of war.

Its not true, check out the Bush speech in Ukrainian parliament in 1990. USA geo- statistically has wanted a strong Muscovite empire (against China of coz). "Zbig" Brzezinski has DECLARED it many TIMES. but its late for Mongolian empire (Ulus of Juchi) , nothing today can save it , even Trump ...

It's time to realize the accurate definition of war.

this is a good definition :

"McCain calls "Russia" cyber-attacks on US an 'act of war'"

Interesting that it has made Newsweek. After all he has been at it for twenty years or longer, if the founding of RT is counted. The latest anyone interested in these things must have noticed it was, when Putin organised an axis between Moscow, Berlin and Paris to give Saddam the resolve to resist the Security Council Resolution. After that there were a number of military instances, but his nonlinear war has relied mostly on leaks, false information and corruption.

I would say he needs to rethink the definition himself. He was involved in a real war. He should know the difference.

It?s Time to Realize that Putin Is at War With America

Exactly backwards. The USA initiated an economic war against Russia immediately after the USA sponsored coup d'etat in Ukraine failed to acquire the jewel of the coup, Crimea. The USA attempted to bankrupt Russia using their economic arm of Full Spectrum Dominance. Banking sanctions, trading sanctions, personal sanctions, etc. and they failed to accomplish the desired results. The USA got their toadie, the EU, to participate in the sanctions to a multi billion dollar detriment to the EU. China observed that the USA was using the Reserve Currency as a weapon and decided to ally with Russia and make deals avoiding the use of the USDollar and be able to prevent the USA from using this same weapon against China. This is when the BRICS began developing alternatives to IMF, World Bank, SWIFT, etc. and continue on that course. USA wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia reveal the insidious agenda of hegemony of the USA is using war to control resources World-Wide. I don't approve. We should be the godd guys, but we're the Bad Guys. That's pretty distressing because the common citizens of the USA listen to the MSM agenda twisted to hide the truth. Who has attacked the USA in the last 50 years to cause all these wars? Noone, and there is no proof that Afghanistan cause 9-11. More likely Saudi Arabia, our scumbag ally.

i do understand that you live in a parallel university still watch or read what Timothy D. Snyder, a well-known historian and professor of history at Yale University, says about RT.ru´s FAKE so called - " d'etat in Ukraine" . it can save your family life

Do you understand the difference between de jure and de facto?

do you understand the difference between annexation AND war . most people do

"United Nations General Assembly Resolution 68/262 was adopted on March 27, 2014 by the sixty-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly in response to the Russian annexation of Crimea and entitled "Territorial integrity of Ukraine". ...

the General Assembly's commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and underscored the invalidity of the 2014 Crimean referendum ."

How would you describe the US land grab in Afghanistan and Iraq?

I would say that anyone that says that those were "land grabs" seems either way off in a parallel lingual universe of Newspeak or being paid to do so.

Obama And Clinton Mocked Romney For Warning A | The Daily Caller

er uh Vols, Romney deserved to be criticized for his statements. He was pandering to an ignorant base stuck in the past. Once Russia "invaded" Ukraine our policy towards them changed as it should have. You and yours whined that President Obama was weak for only implementing sanctions. Now if Russia is the "biggest geopolitical threat" facing America so much so that you criticize President Obama in 2012 then how do you reconcile Trump's current policy of appeasement (and I'm being kind). You must be especially mad that not only did they "invade" Ukraine but interfered in our election and trump's first goal was to remove the sanctions. You are mad right? talk about "embolding our enemies. Don't tell me that's just another conservative narrative you conveniently forget now that a republican is president just like repealing Obamacare and reducing the deficit. Is there any issue conservatives don't obediently flip flop on?

How would you describe the US land grab in Afghanistan and Iraq?

"Land grab" my ass. What universe are you living in, T-72? Which parts exactly of Iraq and Afghanistan did we annex?

I would say that anyone that says that those were "land grabs" seems either way off in a parallel lingual universe of Newspeak or being paid to do so.

Yes, maybe I view the term "land grab" with the same vagueness with which others view the term "military aggression."

Considering the history of that region of the world, Crimea and Ukraine, it's hard to apply the term "land grab" when all the inhabitants speak a Russian language and the voters of Crimea voted in favor of being in Russia.

Wasn't that vote after the land grab?
