It’s Time to Realize that Putin Is at War With America

Litwin:

The title of your thread says Putin is at war with America. Nogorno-Karabakh, Georgia, Abkhazia, Moldova, and Ukraine are not parts of America nor are they allied directly and formally with America. Sure, America has a presence in Georgia and now Ukraine but neither state is part of NATO nor has a bilateral defence treaty with the USA. So if you want to claim that Putin is at war with Georgia, Ukraine or any of these other former Soviet satellites, I would agree with you. But that does not constitute war with America. Should Putin elect to attack NATO by explicitly attacking Lithuania with military force, for example, then your position would be correct. That has not yet happened.

Cheers.
Evilroddy.

great post. but we live in the small world, once you allow Putler to annex Nogorno-Karabakh, Georgia, Abkhazia, Moldova, Ukraine be prepare to fight over Baltic, Poland , Romania or Alaska . we have seen the same situation in 20c in 30th .

what do you think about Koba´s - Lenin-Putin´s western "useful idiots"?

I see you have no rational response to my utter destruction of your OP. Go clean yourself off, I made a mess of you.

only for UFO-folk like you, for rest of western world :
Vet and great man, a leader of nation

No, he isn't, for the very reason because he is a Vet and he has turned his back on his fellow Service Members, like myself. Sorry, but we don't take kindly to having our lives and blood spent so he can enrich his masters in the defense industries.

you must be joking it (1945-91) was second part of WW2. "cold war" tell it to Koreans or East Europeans

Seriously, you need to calm down. Way too intense for an alternate theory.

Don't reply to me again, it will be a waste of time. **** man, if this is such a big ****ing issue in your life you may want to see a doctor.

Guess this was one clueless fool

That's a huge waste of time, childish and continues to feed the hate rhetoric of the alt-right.

You also wasted my time having to read it, and I really HATE idiocy, like that post.

Reply to me all you like, I won't waste my time

I see it more like Russia is trolling us because we continue to use sanctions in affairs they think are none of our business. Cause problems for me, I cause problems for you. I in no way think that Russia is at war or trying to provoke a war. The Russian people will never support it, and that goes along way. It's not like it is with the cold war when all they ever saw of us is what the Soviet Union allowed them to see. They have the internet, their citizens interact with ours everyday. They know we aren't evil imperialists out to steal their children. But at the same time, they have a twisted sense of humor. So when Putin does to us, what we do to everybody else, they laugh their asses off and see it as karma. Heck, I don't think even Putin expected it to even work as well as it did.

If we didn't have such short terms for our President, they probably wouldn't have messed with our election. Four years isn't a long time, and anything Trump does, aside from supreme court nominations, we can fix once he's gone. All we have to do is keep our current roster of the Supreme Court alive for a couple years and we'll be fine. Heck, we might even be better off because this is a wake up call to many non participators. I mean half our country doesn't even vote. We treat 65 and 62 Million people like it's some sort of majority in the US. It's not. Neither party can claim they represent the majority of the people, because the majority of the people have never cared one way or the other, til Trump took office.

Its a great article, a lot of information and facts, so question is very simple, does Trump understand "that Putin Is at War With America" ? if not why ?...

"

...Moscow launched an unrelenting campaign to use the foundations of open democracy against itself.

This consisted of mass-media manipulation, working with unsavory Western lobbyists and political operatives, potentially compromising western government officials and elected office-seekers — all of which relied on stirring the pot of popular discomfort and discontent which was emerging in many Western nations.

What's "America"? Only marriage between man and woman and greeting people with "Merry Christmas" is America. Putin is at war with those things?

Or do you mean Putin does not subscribe to using media propaganda to wage war on "America"--those things of America--and therefore Putin is waging war against America because he does not deny Jesus Christ before men and he does not profess Bruce Jenner to have been born a biological woman per a "a woman's brain" (maybe all women like to blow money on shopping sprees buying clothing per "the woman's brain").

Is there a "War on Christmas" or a "War on Christianity"? Or a covert war using "mass media manipulation, working with unsavory Western lobbyists and political operatives, potentially compromising western government officials and elected office seekers - all of which relied on stirring the pot of popular discomfort and discontent which was emerging in many Western nations," to subvert the basic moral foundations of American democracy by advancing "gay marriage" and post-op M-to-F transsexuals in girl bathrooms in grade schools, in US military showers in the female showers?

Putin is not at war with me. I doubt he even knows who I am (nor did Obama or any Pope or Trump now for that matter). What the hell does he care about some mulatto dude on the North Side of Milwaukee that got popped (shot) by local police? Nada. Putin runs among Eastern European ballers. But he is Christian like me and belongs to the Holy Mother Russian Orthodox Church. If you are asking me to deny Jesus or to take a bag of coins to betray him--and his servant Putin on earth--then you might as well call out your lions, open up gulags, or order your privates in the military to form an execution line with their rifles.

You know (or perhaps you do not) the Russian oligarchs that hate Putin often seek refuge in Britain (a country with a notorious empire history of having plundered the world on many continents). Imagine that. They live like ballers over there. The ones that think Putin is waging war against them in the UK are Brits and Russians that drop over $1 million US dollars just on clothing of the groom and bride and the accessories (watches, jewelry etc) for their wedding, not including the rests of the costs for the whole of the wedding event.

Speaking of those who believe idiots, it sounds like you're describing those who believe what government spokespersons are saying. Half or more of what they are saying is nonsensical or false, why do people believe them? I don't know.

Russian oligarchs--and Russian organized crime--looted Russia including the Fort Knox equivalent of Russia for many years after the collapse of communism in Russia. That is much an historical fact as the United States used to have an economy run off of agrarian enslavement of black people back in the 1800s prior to the US Civil War.

It's mainly the Russian oligarchs that have complained about Putin acting tyrannical (against them).

The images you posted do not look like a hospital but a facility to house orphans--and/or elderly people. I clicked on the link but I don't know how to read that language, so, I have no idea what it says nor do I know if I can trust it as a source.

What I do know--as I once wrote a college paper on the issue many years ago, long before I ever heard of Putin--that post communist Eastern Europe had some of the worst orphanages on earth. In fact in many parts of Eastern Europe the orphanages and hospitals both declined so badly that they fell below those of Africa's and Latin America's in rating.

But maybe we should listen to a black female Canadian woman's experience in Moscow to see if she views it as a living standard in which all Russians live below that of the poorest nations of Latin America (like Guatemala or something) and Africa.

This young black woman is from the USA I think (watched the video months ago). She speaks about her experience at a Russian dental office (where she had work done) and about going around by herself at zero dark thirty hours in Moscow. Let me on the record her as saying I will surmise she was probably safer routinely walking or jogging around Moscow at night than she would be in the United States largest black city: Detroit at those same hours. Let alone off the "beaten path."

McCain is a disgusting puke of a human. Try again.

What makes you say that? Russia has elected to wage war on us. It did so some time ago and one of the tools are the cyber attacks.

McCain used to serve and has sold his soul to the defense industry. He doesn't care about spending the lives and blood of those of us who currently serve to grease the wheels of their profits. He's always "war, war, war". That's why he's a piece of human trash and I know many of my fellow Service Members who feel the same way.

As to your comment on Russia, that's ridiculous. Russia is not waging war on us. That's just silly. Are our news agencies waging war on them because we report from an anti-Russian POV? No. Is Russia expanding the Warsaw Pact (doesn't exist anymore) into countries right on our border, like we've been doing with NATO to them? No. Have they been attacking and waging war against our allies, like we have to them (e.g. Iran, Syria)? No. Does Russia have our countries surrounded by military bases? No.

No honest critical analysis of the various foreign policies has Russia as being the main driver of the tensions.

I mean, do you really analyse foreign affairs on that level picture? That is really sad. You should walk the walk of trying to understand, what the best real world alternative is and how to get there. The Russina way leads to nucliar war albeit not necessarily involving the Russians or US. At least think about it before publishing that kind of populist muck.

In other words, Putin’s government did what the KGB (now known as the FSB and SVR) does. It looked at the West’s psychological profile and used it against itself, exploiting the very real problems and divides the U.S. and other nations are wrestling with in order to stop the West from threatening Russia’s power.

..

Finally, there’s Trump’s own attitude toward Russia. None of these are as blatant as the first group of examples, but they often smack of a perhaps unwitting willingness on behalf of some Americans to advance Russia’s interests at the expense of the West’s for any number of reasons.

All of this fits an age-old KGB modus operandi of using a variety of asymmetric methods to turn rivals’ internal weaknesses against themselves. The Russian security services embrace a fluid and confusing form of physical warfare which aims to take advantage of adversaries’ social, political, and economic weakness through what the 2016 NDAA describes as “activities conducted to enable a resistance movement or insurgency to coerce, disrupt, or overthrow a government or occupying power by operating through or with an underground, auxiliary, or guerrilla force in a denied area.”

...

Per NATO’s own magazine:

As the conflict in Ukraine illustrates, hybrid conflicts involve multilayered efforts designed to destabilise a functioning state and polarize its society. Unlike conventional warfare, the “centre of gravity” in hybrid warfare is a target population.

The adversary tries to influence influential policy-makers and key decision makers by combining kinetic operations with subversive efforts. The aggressor often resorts to clandestine actions, to avoid attribution or retribution. Without a credible smoking gun, NATO will find it difficult to agree on an intervention.

The Russian government is doing the same thing to the West in the world of ideas as it has done to Ukraine in the physical realm.
...."

We will wake up one day and realize that they expanded their influence to something similar to the Warsaw pact. We may even find ourselves surrounded.

We have three enemies, Iran, North Korea and Russia.

Yes it was, but apparently the voters were quite enthusiastic about what they were voting for. They were happy to be back with Russia.

Putin is no fool. He is not about to surrender his only warm water port to NATO. Anybody else in the same position would do the same thing.

It's not populist by any means, nor is it muck. I have to numerous examples of foreign policy and your response was not the actually address them (probably because it's all factual) but to give a blithe response that conveniently ducks all of it. But, please, what is "Russia's way" that's going to lead to nuclear war? How do you see that playing out?

Not at all a duck. More just a reminder that it is necessary to use a set of well established thinking to get realistic results. Fantasies are fine in fantasy book. Trying to apply the yhere derived knowledge leads to catastrophe.

Of course it was a duck. I mentioned very specific and factual things that you avoided to write some kind of vague response. Facts > hand-waving and the only person that has presented facts is me, and you want to talk about fantasies...

Either in 2015 or 2016 (I forget, you'll have to look it up) Putin closed something like six of the government hospitals in the Moscow area and laid off all the doctors and nurses. There was quite a big stink and protests about it.

If you want any healthcare at all in Russia, bribes are a must.

But maybe we should listen to a black female Canadian woman's experience in Moscow to see if she views it as a living standard in which all Russians live below that of the poorest nations of Latin America (like Guatemala or something) and Africa.
I've visited the Russian Federation a few times ... all 11 time zones. Kaliningrad is generally nice. Moscow and St. Petersburg are quite cosmopolitan and economically stable. That is where the bulk of people who make Russia functional live and work. The rest of Russia is a dump, especially east of the Urals. The people are friendly and genuine and hospitable, but grinding poverty (and all its attendant problems) is everywhere. As is official corruption.

btw ... the Russian word Спасибо is transliterated as 'Spasibo' and it means Thank You.

Very specifically, you were unconvincing, I guess.
