It’s Time to Realize that Putin Is at War With America

Wasn't that vote after the land grab?

Yes it was, but apparently the voters were quite enthusiastic about what they were voting for. They were happy to be back with Russia.

Putin is no fool. He is not about to surrender his only warm water port to NATO. Anybody else in the same position would do the same thing.

Well, he has a new warm water port in Syria now. He caused rather a bloodbath to get this one to, but that's how he is.

But a vote at guns' point is also typical of the way he interprets legitimacy. He is a forceful leader.

The bloodbath in Syria began long before Putin stepped in lawfully.

Indeed, many of my paltry tax dollars were used to cause that bloodbath in Syria. If not for Israeli and US intervention in Syria, Europe would not have been flooded with all those refugees.

You are right that Obama made a criminal mess of the situation. But it is incorrect to say that Putin didn't cause the mess as much as the man that can. He supported the mass murdering dictator and prevented protecting the population by granting Assad impunity.

Putin does not want a war with us. Putin wants to make Russia a super power and be a world leader like the US used to be. Thanks to the witch hunt our parties of hate and prejudice (instead of leaders) have opened the door for him. Our congress and senate are no longer elected leaders but the party of resistance and the party of do nothing. Putin does not need a war or to fire a shot to defeat our country. He will use our 2 pathetic parties of hate and prejudice to bring this country down. So if you want to know who the real problem is just find yourself a mirror.

Its a great article, a lot of information and facts, so question is very simple, does Trump understand "that Putin Is at War With America" ? if not why ?...

"

...Moscow launched an unrelenting campaign to use the foundations of open democracy against itself.

This consisted of mass-media manipulation, working with unsavory Western lobbyists and political operatives, potentially compromising western government officials and elected office-seekers — all of which relied on stirring the pot of popular discomfort and discontent which was emerging in many Western nations.

In other words, Putin’s government did what the KGB (now known as the FSB and SVR) does. It looked at the West’s psychological profile and used it against itself, exploiting the very real problems and divides the U.S. and other nations are wrestling with in order to stop the West from threatening Russia’s power.

..

Finally, there’s Trump’s own attitude toward Russia. None of these are as blatant as the first group of examples, but they often smack of a perhaps unwitting willingness on behalf of some Americans to advance Russia’s interests at the expense of the West’s for any number of reasons.

All of this fits an age-old KGB modus operandi of using a variety of asymmetric methods to turn rivals’ internal weaknesses against themselves. The Russian security services embrace a fluid and confusing form of physical warfare which aims to take advantage of adversaries’ social, political, and economic weakness through what the 2016 NDAA describes as “activities conducted to enable a resistance movement or insurgency to coerce, disrupt, or overthrow a government or occupying power by operating through or with an underground, auxiliary, or guerrilla force in a denied area.”

...

Per NATO’s own magazine:

As the conflict in Ukraine illustrates, hybrid conflicts involve multilayered efforts designed to destabilise a functioning state and polarize its society. Unlike conventional warfare, the “centre of gravity” in hybrid warfare is a target population.

The adversary tries to influence influential policy-makers and key decision makers by combining kinetic operations with subversive efforts. The aggressor often resorts to clandestine actions, to avoid attribution or retribution. Without a credible smoking gun, NATO will find it difficult to agree on an intervention.

The Russian government is doing the same thing to the West in the world of ideas as it has done to Ukraine in the physical realm.

Obama laughed and mocked Romney at the idea Russia was a danger

What angers me about Putin is that he put ***** Riot in prison. But I admire him for letting them out some years later. If that had happened in the US they would still be serving time.

Putin had the honesty and decency to come to NY and address the UN, explaining what he was going to be doing. Fall of 2015 I think. And he did it, and now late 2017, it appears he has been largely successful.

He stood before the world and declared his intention to support his ally, the legally elected Assad and Syria.

The US conducted a covert war over there, in violation of international law, and generated hordes of fleeing humans for some years. Yes Obama was a player, doing what he was told to do.

I hate to say it, but it looks to me like the only honest guy in the whole mess is Putin, considering the diplomatic efforts by the Russians especially.

Yes, but Putin uses his power differently than we do. And our record shows how badly we use our power. A long dirty record.

I watched the Oliver Stone interviews with Putin and it was excellent. In terms of common sense and good government (the Russian style, make no mistake) more good things came out of his mouth than you would ever hear from any US leader. He would rather there be peace in the world than war, so I like that.

US behavior over years since 1989 shows how hard it is to make order to protect populations and trade. Putin's shows how easy it is to destroy it.

I've visited Russia twice. End to end. It's no bastion of democracy.

I'm calling Mueller, he needs to know this information. I actually visited Russia twice myself, as well. We actually stayed in the same hotel in the same city. Both the hotel and city had been renamed. Obviously one visit was prior to 1991 and the other after.

It?s Time to Realize that Putin Is at War With America

Litwin:

Using this reasoning the USA or Britain or France are at war with many states around the globe. Having a foreign policy which aims at destabilising neighbouring states is under-handed and dangerous but it is not war. It could be construed as a prelude to war but not war itself. Russian hybrid warfare begins when the little green men appear. Before that it's all just shaping the battle-space. The blurring of lines between war and peace plays into the hands of militarists and war-capitalists who would profit from armed conflict at any level of intensity.

Cheers.

The "cold war" never ended, only a wall came down.

nor agree, it has started in 80th with Karaback, then Moldova, then Georgia 2 times ...., Ukraine is just too big to be swallowed by dying mongol empire (ulus of juchi) . and you can not find a second nation which so love to die defending homecountry so thats why Putler ask UN to help him to stop Ukrainian army non-stop 24 h a day attacks

Thats not quite so, I shouldn't think. The idea was to treat Russia like any other country in the Security Council yhat has come down on its fortunes. And on the Russian side the first regime was seemingly also quite happy to take that avenue. Possibly the US ignored Russia too much. But there was lots going on.

The title of your thread says Putin is at war with America. Nogorno-Karabakh, Georgia, Abkhazia, Moldova, and Ukraine are not parts of America nor are they allied directly and formally with America. Sure, America has a presence in Georgia and now Ukraine but neither state is part of NATO nor has a bilateral defence treaty with the USA. So if you want to claim that Putin is at war with Georgia, Ukraine or any of these other former Soviet satellites, I would agree with you. But that does not constitute war with America. Should Putin elect to attack NATO by explicitly attacking Lithuania with military force, for example, then your position would be correct. That has not yet happened.

Cheers.

Do you mean to say that Putin requested the sanctions imposed on his country? He is hurting trade by requesting the west impose sanctions?????

this is a good definition :

"McCain calls "Russia" cyber-attacks on US an 'act of war'"

McCain is a disgusting puke of a human. Try again.

You think a girl band would still be in hard labor for singing in a church without t-shirts? Boy, it's good to be back in the USSR.

We supported Uncle Joe against Hitler, I guess. So why shouldn't Putin defend Assad against his domestic opposition? Yeah. I see.

PS: As to explaining, what he was doing, he was only following Bush junior's example, when he explained to the General Assembly that he hoped they would enforce the Security Council Resolution but, if they proved themselves irrelevant, he would do it. You must have very much loved him.

;)

No, Russia is not at war with the US. During the election, the UK Parliament openly debated on whether to ban Trump from entering the country, using all kinds of extremely derrogatory language. Is the UK at war with the US by doing something significantly more over and legally binding?

Why are you bringing up Ukraine as if that is some kind of supporting point. If anything, you're undermining your own point by bringing up a situation where the US went over the the entire other side of the world to interfere in Ukraine while Russia interfered in a country on their own border. I mean...your entire premise is ridiculous.

You probably did not watch the Oliver Stone interviews with Putin, but they ran to about 8 hours over several visits.

One thing that Putin made clear is that his actions in Syria were two-fold. Syria and Russia have long been allies, and Syria was under attack from foreign paid mercenaries. He did not want what happened from the western invasion of Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya to happen in Syria.

For the time, it appears his well calculated actions were successful.
