Such A Nightmare

Fascinating, you state, "Households of Central American and Mexican parentage use social programs higher than any other foreign immigrant population (particularly if they're illegal)" and then provide a link to support your argument that states...

" it is clear that the overwhelming majority of immigrant households using welfare are headed by legal immigrants."

Looks like you don't need me to present an opposition to your argument, you've got that covered.

You state...

"The fact of the matter is that we must retain a standard of law. At the end of the day, a crime is a crime."

You're giving new meaning to being a dreamer, how can we retain something we've never had?

You didn't read the entire article then.

legal immigrant households have higher welfare use than native households for cash, food, and Medicaid, while illegal immigrant households have higher use than natives for food and Medicaid, but lower use for cash and housing programs.

They also mention NUMEROUS times that welfare statistics for illegal immigrants may be grossly underestimated due to the questionable amount of illegal immigrants in the country.

I have no sympathy for these kids. Their parents broke the law. They don't have jobs. They cost taxpayers money. Deport Eric & Don Jr.

One of the rescue people who died in Houston was a dreamer. They work here - they pay taxes - they get no benefits - so it costs us how??

This is not an argument either. By that standard, everything outside of where human life began is "stolen". Even most mestizos are some bastard mix of Spanish and the original aboriginal peoples that lived there originally long ago. The reality of the situation is that there are many people from Central America and Mexico who want a better life and I can't blame them for that. But we do have a standard of law and I shouldn't need to explain the necessity to retain the standard of law to someone but if I need to, let me know.

Since you don't seem able to comprehend my argument perhaps you should explain this "standard of law" concept of yours...please do explain so perhaps I can make some sense of how you imagine our justice system works...there's nothing standard about it unless you are prepared to agree with me it is standard practice that justice served can be quite different for those with money and/or "connections" and those that don't.

None of this is an argument for the case at hand either. If you have the time you may feel free to actually explain what "factoring in some common sense" means because I have no idea how that is policy or something that I can make a rebuttal to. I'm sure we could even agree on thing relating to the drug war or how some felonies are outrageous but that is TOTALLY unrelated to the topic at hand.

Let me try and dumb it down for you if the concept of common sense is an issue for you...

Let's imagine you've got a law that doesn't properly address the problem and in fact, when rigidly adhered to, causes more problems than it is designed to resolve...

get ready for it...(insert drumroll smiley here) factor in some common sense when enforcing the law. I'll grant you that common sense is often lacking in the process our leaders use to make up some of these laws...it's more a political process which gums up the works and common sense goes out the window...politics seems to have a similar effect providing many examples of a lack of common sense on Political Debate forums as well.

You indicate the point I was trying to make using drug law justice to make it is unrelated to the topic at hand...that indicates either a lack of comprehension on your part or you simply wish to ignore the point I was making relative to justice vs legality.

This shouldn't be an issue in the first place. I'm not super pro-trump or zealously anti-Obama but none of this would be an issue if Obama had sent it to the legislature in the first place. Trump is AT LEAST doing that much. The last part is ridiculous. You believe we should be more lenient on specific laws (or outright ignore them) because another area of the United States in in a time of need?

Can't argue with that...Trump is certainly seeking to attack just about anything Obama has done to try and wipe out his legacy...not that I'm concerned about Obama's legacy...I'm more concerned about Trumps lunacy...as to the part in bold...why are you asking me that?

I thought I made that point abundantly clear...you're damn right...I believe in trying to help people and support the actions of others of like mind...perhaps those that make a concerted effort to help, as it appears many are, perhaps Trump should give them a pardon...which would bring us back to the debate of laws vs justice.

LMAO - Again, I haven't mentioned a frigging wall. I'm talking about the LAW, not a wall. I know they may sound similar, but Geeze Louise guys...

Actually, I was using the wall as more of a metaphor...I might have expressed the point a bit differently had I known you were so sensitive about it's use...my apologies

As to what you actually did say, let me know when you get ready to pick out your hat...I get curious when someone brings up *****.
