When Will Lefties Do the Right Thing?

I don't understand your point. Are you saying that Quebec is the official representative of the left?

Nice of them to offer, but as I understand it, there's no shortage of stuff like beds, blankets, clothes. Right now temporary shelter and help cleaning up and rebuilding is needed.

the idea that you have any idea what texas needs or doesnt need is just so obviously BS as to be really a lot of BS.

What is it that you think I am confused about. You yourself even acknowledge that the bill had pork in it. It was not a clean bill to help sandy victims.

I already posted a link that explains it. what would you call a post that ignores the truth and keeps posting lies?

Oh, no. Clearly, Antifa is the official representative of the left.

Howie Carr:

Yep. Some of these leftie foundations, like the Clinton Foundation, have more money than God, but they are nowhere to be seen in this. Where are all the other high profile left wingers? Where's Whoopie Goldberg, Colbert, Elizabeth Warren?

I know that the Clinton Foundation gets involved in building housing, at least when it comes to paying one of their friends hundreds of millions to build lousy housing for Haitians. And, no doubt, receive a cash kick back for it. But nothing for Texas.

I guess they have better things to do than help out the deplorables.

As one of the usual suspects around here demonstrated, some left wingers resent the idea that people flooded out by a storm are considered to be "victims" because it cuts in on their victim racket. By their lights, only their approved victims, specifically, people like them, are to be regarded as true victims and therefore recipients of any special consideration.

Some of these pinheads have even implied that Houston storm victims don't deserve any help because they were stupid enough to build a house on a flood plain. While drug addicted, HIV ridden, Hep C infested black men deserve welfare and free medical care because racism. And crack whores deserve help because patriarchy. And so on.

Beyond that, of course, left wingers are famous for their stinginess when it comes to personal charity. They think that they are exempt from that sort of thing. Because they are in favor of the government taking money from people by force and giving it to "victims" who vote for them they should not be required to contribute anything to their neighbors out of their personal funds or resources.

We're always doing the right thing. For example, we support low cost mental healthcare for folks who, for example, post paranoid baloney on discussion boards. I can send you a link to services available if you'd like.

Yeah, they got to that by re-defining pork as necessary items. Lies upon lies upon lies from you guys.

Well........Ted Cruz said the bill was full of pork - Chris Christie said that was a lie?? They're both GOP - which one do you believe??

I don't like the fact that Houston is demanding special attention and resources. All cities are important. All cities matter.

I am not saying that, I am saying if you want blame left wingers for not doing enough to help, I can find examples of right wingers who are not helping enough, like this guy.

How do you know they have enough blankets and won't need more in the future? Why didn't the Texan Sectary of State simply request different resources from this offer? Quebec has Hydro crews who could help restore the power grid in affected areas of Texas, surely that is useful?

Yeah, you get it.

I think just identifying Houston as a "city" is bigoted, I mean, is there an objective way to define who is really "part of the city" and who is not? I'm city-blind, I don't see "you're from this city and I'm from that city". All this city-talk is so anti-city. Next thing you know they will ask people "What city are you from", and then those from Houston will demand special attention, that's discrimination! What about me, I'm rich and white and unaffected by the flooding, why do other people get preferential treatment based on their CITY!? I'll end up paying for it!

They voted it down because they wanted a clean bill without all the pork piggybacked on it. If this bill is full of pork I would hope they vote against this bill too.

Just anecdotal evidence this is a lie.
Ted Cruz specifically said one of the pork items in the bill was money for head start. What he didn't say was that the money was for 1 head start building where the roof was torn off and another that was flooded. I think I'll believe the people that actually worked at these places, some I know personally

It should really be interesting to see what happens if a natural disaster happens in a blue state. How fast will the money be flowing in?

I dont know the details of that bill or this one. I have not read either one of them. What I know is that people should be given the help they need but it should not be used as an opprotunity for politicans to get funding for other things.

OMG, I'd never looked at it that way.
