Greek Life retreat cancelled after banana peel found in tree

College is supposed to prepare young adults for life in the real world. Instead...it contributes to the emotional crippling of generations of people. I look at what has happened to some of these places...and holy ****. I weep for the future.

That's fine. As others pointed out an unresolved case at American University where someone, perp and motive unknown hung bana's from trees. So these gals saw a banana peel and and well...

Associated bananas being hung from a tree by a noose with their sorority name on it and became concerned. A noose from a tree in Mississippi certainly has some rather negative associations does it not?

And again I'll ask, how does this correlate with a banana peel in the crook of a tree branch? Was the banana peel hanging from a noose?

Why can't fun things like this happen in the Chicago area?

There's a really nice big park right next to the University of Chicago ... plenty of Big Old Oak Trees just dying to have Bananas thrown in them.

Lost of wide open space ... and no place to hide.

LT is obviously getting the DC and Ole Miss incidents intertwined, but the basis for the issue with a banana in a tree is at least explained, somewhat.

It doesn't.

There are some people in society that look for secret meanings of everything. They used to be called conspiracy theorist.

If someone sees everything broken down by race and has the conspiracy theory mentality a banana peel in a tree is suddenly a white supremacist message.
 
This is is a national political issue?

Seems like a sad attempt to diver attention away from the banana peel in the white house..

Yes, you did, because there are people in this world who spend an inordinate amount of time either looking for offense or looking for reason's to ignore the stupidity of those like them. Without over-explaining everything, they get to claim ignorance or intentionally misinterpret anything you say.
