Given Trump's history and that his father Fred was a member of the KKK, people really should not be surprised that Trump has racist and white supremacists leanings. You have but to look at his statements the past couple weeks to verify this.

Now hear this. In 2020 it is possible that he could be reelected! Michale Moore seems to think so if conditions are ripe. Trump already is gearing up for reelection! The Reps are gearing up to win OH, PA, MN, and WI as they did in 2016. Trump will lose if the Dems who deserted Clinton plus the millennials and other voters vote en masse against him. The problem: Dems are in disarray, they have no leader, they have no viable agenda. Simply running on a ticket against Trump has proven to be a failure. They have to be able to show viable alternatives against Trump.

Trump has already caused some damage. But keep in mind that people vote their stomachs and pocketbooks. Quite frankly, the vast majority of these people care not for morality, international problems, other problems. The only thing they are concerned with is their pocket book and food. As long as Trump can deliver on his promises, his supporters will still vote for him regardless if he is racist, may have mental issues, corrupt, mysogenist, wants to be a dictator, etc. You see, your average voter does not care or even have a concept of these issues. The fact that much of his base remains intact is proof of this.

I knew this decades ago, but some people simply excused it because his racism wasn't aimed at them.

If Trump is reelected, it will be due in no small part to idiotic, inflammatory rhetoric like your post.

Of course you meant MI, not MN, though trump only lost MN by 40,000. That will no doubt change if Sen. Klobuchar faces trump, but that won't happen.

trump will retire after his first term, declare that he made America great again, and go back to his businesses. (GOPs pray)

Gov. Baker vs. Sen. Klobuchar would be a return to positive, professional politics in 2020 ...

If the Democrats keep going with the current narrative they are using, they will get slaughtered in the mid-terms and Trump will likely win reelection.

I can even agree with some of the fundamental democrat values, to be honest. The issue is that the party has become so deeply entrenched in things like identity politics and "social justice" and these are things that, on a large scale, are not hugely popular with the general public. The Republicans have a lot of problems themselves to be sure but their rhetoric is much less inflammatory and less direct in the way they criticize or attack their opposition.

In the end, should the Democrats wish to dethrone Trump, they'll have to do some serious soul searching.

Oops, typo!

Unless Trump is forced out of office, I do not see him retiring as his family is profiting from his being president. The only way he will be a one term president is either because of ill health or the Russia investigation will reveal some bombshells.

Professional politics? One reason Trump won was because there were enough disaffected voters with the professional politicians.

I'd say people are a wee bit premature, in calling the next election. I am just saying.

Aside from the loss of 1200+ seats the left has already lost, I can see them losing more. It would be good for the country if they did.

If the Democrats continue to be the lame-ass, weak bastards they are, Trump will be reelected. Worse, if his own party disowns him, Pence will be President. Worse because he has the connections to Congress that can do more damage to our country than Trump.
