From The Guardian (UK)
The Guardian tells about a 14 year old girl who braves the violence of the streets at night to ply her trade as a prostitute, a job she was forced into after her mother was fired and the family ran out of food.
But as long as the Maduro government remains determined it doesn't matter how miserable everyone is. The regime can still hold onto power, and a great many American leftists have enabled them. I can hear them now. They will say that there are plenty of under aged prostitutes in the streets of American cities, and this story means nothing. Not the suffering of the people, not the overwhelming evidence of malgovernance, nothing will make them acknowledge that Venezuela took the wrong path.
Hunger eats away at Venezuela’s soul as its people struggle to survive. The Maduro regime denies its once oil-rich country is in crisis. But on the streets the desperation cannot be hidden.
