You can deny Trump's incompetence all you want but it will eventually be undeniable. The guy just don't listen to his advisers. It's only a matter of time.

Yeah, I wouldn't wait around for that. I really believe the only people buying the democrats schtick right now are the true believers, the ones lost in the left without a stomach for views that don't align in a one to one correspondence with theirs. Most of the populace isn't buying any of that. They certainly aren't all Trump supporters, but the democrats have obviously hit the political wall.

Dershowitz is good at defending criminals. That was his job. I think Trump should hire him. He'll need a good defense attorney.

Trump is not the conservatives man. of course they want to keep him meek, unless it harms their odds at reelection. On the other hand, leaky and bitter as Washington and the media are right now, if there were dirt, it would be known.

Not so. Democrats on the whole have been upfront about their electoral inadequacies. The Trump/Russia question is separate, and important. Not only selected "leftists, progressives and independents" see it as such. Dershowitz sold out to Trump months ago. His "erasing history" argument is rubbish.

I don't think any rational, informed actor could believe this. I recommend really looking into the DNC chair race back in February (Nomiki Konst and David Weigel covered this). The DNC may eventually come around (I don't know that this is a reasonable belief any more, however), but I definitely can say that they have not been "upfront" about their electoral inadequacies. This is also moving way off topic, so if you want to argue this, I would suggest starting a new thread.

I don't give a **** about Dershowitz to be honest, and I said that the Russian collusion is worth the investigation. I also don't believe it'll uncover anything about Russian collusion (I could be wrong), but I do believe that it'll uncover loads of financial corruption.

Without starting a new thread, I'd point out that in February people were still in shock but since then Democrats, and not only the DNC, have been more than upfront about their electoral inadequacies. They've been openly obsessing about them. Agreed there's probably financial corruption and if there is it would be naturally tied to Russian collusion.

Humm. An independent investigation into possible wrongdoing conducted by the FBI and which follows the Rule of Law and proper procedural protections is the same as disappearing people into Lubyanka Prison, torturing them and then summarily executing them without trial? Yes, I see the parallels! How could I have missed them? Maitre Dershowitz is spot on the mark again, just as he was with "torture warrants" several years back. The left is clearly deluded and is the antithesis of political right-thinking. Trump is above reproach and is the common man's champion despite choosing a cabinet of anything but common men and women who are bent on paupering the American people.

Statue revisionism notwithstanding, Maitre Dershowitz needs a new pair of glasses and also needs to reconsider some of the arguments he advances publicly.

I think you need to clean your glasses and reread the article. And you better hope it never gets as bad at Stalin here, because our little American experiment in self-government will have long been over by then. Dershowitz's point are right on target, because we have been incrementally moving toward some form of tyranny for some time. The Anti-Trumpers are moving us there more quickly with their emotional rants and dog whistling about Hitler, over zealous political correctness try to coop the English language. They will pay at the ballot box or we'll end up in a civil war or something much worse if they don't stop their lawless behavior. Mueller is a schmuck whose job it is to find something, no matter what.
