Secret Service pays $60K to rent carts to protect Trump as agency runs out of money - MarketWatch

The U.S. Secret Service has reportedly spent about $60,000 on golf cart rentals alone this year to protect President Donald Trump during the dozen trips he’s taken to his Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster resorts since his inauguration.

So we have proof now... the SS and hence the US tax payer has to pay Trump to protect him. Golf carts are just a small party I suspect... housing at Trump properties are not cheap. Add to that, the travel expenses for Air Force One and so on.

When will the GOP congress stop this clear abuse of power?

So does that mean you were okay with Obama letting the Clintons use air force 1 as a private taxi service?

Not to mention that sort of thing happened under Obama as well, seeing as the presidential car is one hell of a cash sink hole to operate.

You're kind of making an argument that he is just as guilty as those that came before him.

The numbers point out that your post is really ridiculous the Secret Service never ran out of money under Obama. Trump is a sleazebag it's really that simple.

Come on... you do know this stuff can be looked up right? Trump has already bypassed Obama in the first year when it comes to cost.. by miles. There is no doubt that protecting the US president is expensive, but considering that Trump has barely spent a whole week in Washington since he got office, then the amount of travel this president does dwarfs others by a lot. And when lots of the travel expenses are paid to the President himself.. then well, you have corrupted the top job in the US by 1000%.

Yes it cost 97 million over 8 years..

Trump is set to pass that in under ONE ****ING YEAR. He is averaging 10+ million a month and big chunk of that is going into his own pocket, since most of the places he goes, is his own properties, where the SS and government have to pay rent to stay.
