Think? I know, it is a matter of public record. The SS has to rent it self into Trump properties in order to protect him there. They have to rent golf carts to protect him on the linx... all that goes right into Trumps pockets, as he almost exclusively goes to his own holdings.
So that is all you have to say on that huh? Citations are fine, though I have seen plenty of them to know what the SS is projecting is not all that the outlets are touching up on. But in order to keep their narrative I have to admit they are attempting to stay in line of their own dialogue.
Though the services Director "Tex" had worries about such a thing even before the president took office. Lets hit this on the head one nail at a time.
First of all it is the secret services job to protect the president, the first family, and any extended family that they deem necessary. As a point it is not their job to bitch about their directive or the process of how much it cost. The president his a rather large family, and the service new this going into the year without allocating the necessary funds or the oversight for the issue. So IMO this is just another stupid take on trying to prove something against Trump, but we can leave that to another thread. The first family changes every year, with varying issues between the secret service and their charges. Bill Clinton was prone to ditching his SS detail, and go partying off with his highlife friends. This even goes as far back as when Kennedy would basically run from his own detail, because he didn't really want them around. Or he would try to have them back off for most of the time.
On the point of travel expenses that is nearly the same issue, seeing as the Trump administration has to submit paperwork on where they want to go, and when they plan to take the trip. So one cannot say he is just running off to the Bahamas unplanned, and without his detail. The money is to be issued out ahead of time, given projections of how much the trip will cost, and how much the trip might overspend.
Not to mention that the cost for flights on Air-force#1 are paid 50/50 by the presidents own administration, and then by the federal government. This has been the same for some time now, and in no way are tax payers footing the whole bill for the flight.
This is still all of the Secret services job, nothing has changed, and nothing will. The only reason people are bitching about it now, is because Trump has such an extensive family, and their taste in trips is vastly different from most of the last few presidents we have ever had. Not to mention its Trump, so we have a legion of butt hurt people just angry at him for off reasons. Like if their toast popped up too dark on one side that morning, and they still find a reason to blame it on him for it.
The issue being if the Secret service uses the services of any Trump resort, or building.
No problem there either, seeing as its not his business while he is in the presidency, and he hass filed the necessary paperwork to make it legal for this to happen. His son for the time being is now in complete management of the Trump hotel legacy.
Therefore none of the money is going into his pockets but that of his family, which goes into its workforce. Though I can see how people are getting angry at this, I mean its not like we have had a president in the past who had a multi-million dollar company attached to their name, that in of itself can boast over 3 billion is assets. The closest one could come to such star power was Ronald Reagan, who was an actor prior to becoming a politician. Though in sheer net worth he is totally obliterated by Hoover who is last on the top 10 list of US presidents.
A list that is dominated by the top three of.
#1. Donald J. Trump
#2. John F. Kennedy
#3. George Washington
Given all of these factors it is sheer lunacy that someone could even hint at a Trump presidency, and not think that there would be some price increases in such expenses. All in all this is just people barking at something that most likely would have happened, and acting like its a damn surprise.
