NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be featured in a Black Lives Matter collection at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, museum curators announced this weekend.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, the nation’s longest-serving black justice, remains absent from the museum.

This is just so fricked up its sick!

Do you actually care? Or is this just some good ol' faux outrage to throw about?

I care about examples of blatant bias in our country. I care that leftist politics are powerful enough to have a National Museum of African American History and Culture not even include the nation’s longest-serving black justice.

it kind of revolves around the popular idea that black people who are not left wing are not black people, but are instead called subhuman names like an uncle tom or coon. This sort of racism is MUCH more common than any general racism of black people.

I bet Clarence Thomas gets called a coon/uncle tom significantly more than he is called a N-word...

All this because he "took-a-Knee", that's it Folks, NO Police Charges Pending because he won't OBEY Masssa like a Good Nigro should.

But in other News ... Johnny Manziel Sung like a Bird at the Game, then Kicked his Girlfriends Ass up and down the street like a Man. :2razz:

NFL Player Arrest List ... and guess who isn't on it?

lol What century do you live in? Do you really hear people use those terms anymore? Can't say I've ever heard anyone around my age or younger use anything like that.

Actually, I got called that on another forum in a discussion on Transgender characters in a game. I asked why do people need a toon to identify with to enjoy a game. It was revolting, sadly the thread got 404'd because of all the stupid that appeared in it.

Crazy but I think online people are more inclined to use language like that because they don't actually see the person they are talking to. I was thinking in a more personal level like the people I know would never think someone like Clarence Thomas would be perceived as being some kind of traitor because he was successful.

That is a good and fair point.

Well, at least Clarence Thomas still has a job.

The problem with this museum is that it tells history through a particular lense. The same one used by Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and BLM. They don't have a display for Clarence Thomas, but they do have one for Anita Hill - who's only claim to fame is accusing Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment.

I'm old enough to remember when Muhammad Ali was Enemy Number One ...
I'm old enough remember when John Carlos raised his Black Glolved Fist in saluting ...

We should admire those who risk personal gain in the service of promoting the values of their country. What makes an act truly patriotic and not just lip-service is when it involves personal risk or sacrifice.

How many times we've all gone to a sporting events and watched these same outraged people standing with the Hats on, shouting obscenities in a drunken display that is never gets a fraction of attention that simply taking a knee does.

If I was Kaepernick, I'd tell this critics to Kiss My Black Ass ... but naturally he's taking a peaceful and non-violet approach. Kinda like what Martin Luther King did, who also received the same self righteous outrage for racist garbage, that's obviously still alive today.

I see it online all the time...And I know personal experiences from black conservatives who are youtubers, and black people I personally know. I also hear from personal experiences such as Hermain Cain(listen to his radio show maybe once a month).

Though I have never heard these things in person with my own ears, just account of friends, black commentators, and internet posts.

You may not like Molyneux, and it's understandable, but these interviews were good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZExVmr4gqI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4TamrZ5Fow&t=1144s

And they were two accounts of black males feeling very out of place in the black community for having different values and views from them. And they were called out for being either uncle toms or being "white" ect. ect.

The sad thing is that the Smithsonian at one time was a very good museum.

Just one more thing we cant manage anymore.

What do the call them now "cornball brother"?

Rob Parker calls RG3 a 'cornball brother,' says he's 'not one of us' - CBSSports.com

I don’t know because I keep hearing these things. We all know he has a white fiancee. Then there was all this talk about he’s a Republican

You obviously haven't heard the things said about Black Repubs like Tim Scott and Mia Love by Black Dems.

Thourgood marshall was the first African American justice on the Supreme Court.

Why is an overpaid (currently unemployed) primadonna considered more important then a Supreme Court Justice?

My best guess is that their political stance matches that of the institution better. ;)

Because it is a Black Lives Matter collection. It's not a good sports stars collection, Its not a good black role model collection, its a collection dedicated to a group of agitators. Colin brought a lot of attention to himself and the group so for that reason he is included. Judge Thomas has not been vocal about BLM why should he be included in their exhibt?

Now if the collection was Black me successful at their professions I could see the outrage of putting in Colin over Thomas

Clarence Thomas is white. That's why he will probably never be there. They consider him a traitor to the cause.
