Tiffany Goes to Europe, You Pay $22K

Ah, gotcha. So you're not doing it based off a hypothetical that hasn't occurred, but one that did.

I'm sure you can provide some evidence of the complaints of the cost of Michelle Obama's travels.

Yep, complaining about the cost for security of President's family is stupid, as is the idea that they should just be forced to not travel or live hteir lives for 4 years because of it.

So you have zero issue with her causing that cost to the taxpayers?

Uh, no. It's the ""But...but...but THEY did it FIRST!!!" excuse
Have a ball with that. Its not a pretty look...but as long as you match it with the dangly green earrings I reckon you can pull it off if anyone can.

Cool. And it's clear others on the other side are complaining about the fact that Trump's family is costing money for security (Link)

This is not about "white privilege", it's about partisanship. When its a democratic president, republicans bitch. When it's a republican president, democrats bitch. Not skin color, party color

Now I agree, most of the complaints about security details on family of the President is generally petty and stupid.

That article was written in May of this year and totaled all of Obamas trips, so no, that doesn't pass as the evidence you think it does. And for the record $100 million is outrageous no matter who the president is, or to use your language, what color he is

Trump spent $75 million in less than one year. So, are you still outraged over Obama's $100 million over 8 years? Tell me. I really need to know.

Whining when your own game gets played against you is pedestrian. If someone starts the knife fight, it's rather silly to cry about being stabbed.

Your only game you are playing is with yourself. And you are sadly...losing.

That Right Wingers ignore all the financial abuse for personal gain by members of Trump's family and team after they whined endlessly about every little thing Obama did says a hell of a lot more about them than me.

Actress Louise Linton, who married Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in June, posted and then deleted a photo of her and her husband as they walked off an Air Force jet Monday that was akin to a fashion shoot tagging the designers she was wearing.

After facing criticism from an Instagram user, Linton, who is married to the man who is fifth in the presidential line of succession, responded to the user with a long comment filled with classist attacks. Linton has now taken her Instagram account private, not allowing Instagram users who don’t already follow her to see her account.

But, hey. We all understand white privilege. Too bad so many still refuse to admit it exists.

White privilege is a racist statement designed to disenfranchise white folks.
"Why am I not 50 points ahead?!" ...this is why.

It sure is funny watching the Right be OK with being the "little people" when it's a white president golfing and sending his family flying around the globe on our dime. They sure had enough cows about it though when the black guy was president.

That is White Privilege by definition, Broh.

It sure was funny watching the Left be Ok with being the "little people" when it's a black president golfing and sending his family flying around the globe on our dime. They sure have enough cows about it though when the white guy is president

That is Black Privledge by definition

Oh wait, black privledge doesn't exist, so that must be because of something entirely different. But when it comes to the other way, no, totally, it's white privledge.

Nothing like watching someone hypocritically trying to call out hypocrisy.

Calamity refuses to actually say if he has any issue with the cost of tiffanys travel. His only points seems to be to call out the hypocrisy of the right, while ignoring the hypocrisy of the left...and to blame it all on "white privledge", which only really works in his mind because he's conviently ignoring the reality of it the other way.

Obama's spending on personal travel was 1/8 that of Trump. I already posted a link pointing that out.

So many issues with this sad attempt to excuse your blind eye to hypocrisy while acting high and mighty about hypocrisy

1) your linked article did not point out what Trump had spent, it points out a projection based on an estimate that assumed Trumps entire first year would correlate with the first 80 days. And you attempted to present this projection as actual already occurring fact. Indeed, your quotes total ($75 million) is not actually referenced anywhere in your article. Projections are poor things to just take at face value with no further content. Obama broke the record for travel in his first 2 years, yet over the full 8 he did not continue that pace.

2) your conflating things now, but of course you are. The expenses being talked about in the Op are not the costs of personal travel, but the cost of secret service details for family members.

3) Even if Trump is costing more than Obama, and even if the reasons for it are viewed as unreasonable (i.e., it's unreasonable he has a larger family!), unless the person is making it clear there's some kind of SPECIFIC line that's being crossed that is causing their complaints, it's still arguably as "hypocritical" as anything you've been calling out. Pointing to the last guy is not some arguement agains hypocrisy, unless you're also giving it to those who cried about Obama. The majority of Bushs travel time was to his ranch, which deferred costs in two significant ways. One, by not flying as far (as say Hawaii), or to many stops (say Hawaii then Chicago, or to various international locations), the amount of time AF1 is in the air is lower which impacts the cost of travel significantly. Two, trailers were put on site at the ranch to accommodate SS agents for housing, removing the housing costs during travel which make an up a large portion of the costs. The point being....the excuse of pointing at the last guy and going "well he did it better in this way, so my attacking of the other side on this when I was silent then is perfectly legit!" is not new, and again is done by both sides.

No, what's going on is abundantly clear. You don't want to look like a hypocrite yourself by criticizing this, and so you're whining about hypocrisy on one side while ignoring the other sides hypocrisy, all while trying to lay out your cover to start you own complaining about travel costs in a way that's "justified" in your head.

I'm sorry but Bush jr broke the record for presidential vacation days and vacation spending by a mile and it is a record that still stands

Bush led on vacation days, as defined by days away from the White House. However, the statement with no context is a laughable one. The majority of those days were at the Ranch, which was outfitted in such a way, such as a SCIF and advanced teleconferencing equipment, to function as the defacto White House. Some of those "vacations" actually included official meetings and dealings with foreign dignitaries. While a Presidents is on "vacation" it doesn't mean they're not working, and compared to most vacations taken by Trump or Obama, the location of the majority of Bushs vacation days was far more outfitted and viable to actually conduct said work in a way that was on a similar scale to being at the White House.

Additionally, as of April of their 8th year, Bush had one more day than Obama; hardly a mile: https://www.ntu.org/foundation/detail/presidential-travel-costs-to-taxpayers-april-snapshot

-edit- (Ignore that above link. Mistake on my part. Was reading on my tablet and missed that it was speaking of foreign travel days, not domestic. Error on my part)

If you have a link to actual estimates on COSTS for Bushs travel, please link. I'd love to see, I was searching for that myself.

All of which is the secondary to the fact you seemed to completely miss the actual point of the post in question; but do a wonderful job of highlighting the point.

He made 77 trips to Crawford texas in 8 years? Do you know what it cost to move the army of people, align satellites, get drones in the air and fly AF1 every time he went to texas? We gave him a very nice office in the seat of power in the free world to work in....but he had to go to Texas? Come on now....be real

And Bush had almost a thousand vacation days....Obama had less than a third of that

Donald Trump has spent 22% of his presidency so far on the golf course | The Independent

President Donald Trump has spent 22 per cent of his time in office on the golf course so far, new research has found.

An NBC News tally discovered that Mr Trump has spent 37 days out of his total 170 days on the golf course.

 You're reaching. You know damned well if Obama went golfing 25% of the time when he should have been working, the Right would have lost it's ever loving mind. Hell, they did anyway, and he didn't travel for personal crap or golf anywhere near as often as Don Cheeto.
