Trump Will Resign Soon.jpg

The guy who helped President Donald Trump write his seminal book, The Art of the Deal, said the former reality-TV star will soon leave the White House on his own accord.

In a series of tweets Wednesday, Tony Schwartz—who co-authored the 1987 book that helped define the real estate magnate's public image—said he thought the walls were closing in on Trump and he would soon leave office in an attempt to save face.

If this is true I think it's for the best. The best for The President and the best for Mike Pence.

Just think of it. President Mike Pence! He will inherit a country in chaos so no matter what happens it can only get better. For some.

The congress can finally get back to business as usual. They can finally dismantle Obamacare and blame it on Trump. They can quietly hush up all the investigation non-sense that has shaken the world's confidence in our ability to conduct the real business of the federal government where it belongs. In backrooms and on tarmacs.

President Pence. I like the sound of that. I'm fearful what that will mean for Gay rights and for healthcare. I don't know what he will do about trade or the economy. But the fact that he is an establishment politician will make him suitable in the eyes of the Republocrats and MSM. Maybe that will satiate the antifa-globalist guerilla anarchist army for a little while. I doubt it will slow them down but one can always hope.

I'm not the most scholarly person here so I'm not sure about the details of the 22nd Amendment but when Mike Pence inherits the Presidency from Donald Trump in the coming weeks he will only be able to get re-elected once for a total of 7 1/2 years as President. Still that should be enough to turn things around for the evangelical constituency.

I gotta hand it to President Trump. He made a big splash. He'll certainly be remembered. And if he gets out now he can still rehabilitate his name before he dies.

I may not agree with all of Mike Pence's political views but I do believe he will not launch us into another Vietnam conflict.

Unlike Trump , Pence actually has a son in the Marines so I don't think you will hear him running around thumping his chest like a baboon.

Yes , if given a choice between Trump and Pence, I would take Pence.

No , Trump will never be able to salvage his name after this failure.

Trump has played left home at away games since the day he raised his right hand in front of a inaugural crowd much smaller than Obama's.

Trump will resign from the office but he cannot resign from a job he never began.

Trump is down to attempting to dominate the demons in his head. His handlers work overtime to keep him away from opportunities to ramble on unscripted. It's better to allow his Tweets to represent the public Trump while assigning leadership moments and public statements to Mike Pence whenever possible. It's down to that now.

Trump will resign before the end of the year. Every week under Trump is worse than the week before. Each week a weary nation shakes its head thinking things cannot become worse. And the following week things become worse.

Pence will most certainly provide a more steady hand in guiding the ship of state. That will be a welcomed change. Pence, however, will be no savior.

He is on an extended vacation and hidden away in his NYC tower. Maybe he will never come back to DC.

We could all be so lucky.

Who knows, maybe he is in his tower talking to lawyers and getting ready for his big exit. He does have a rally planned in Arizona soon. Could that be his resignation speech?

Either way, Trump looks like he his unraveling. I really can't imagine him wanting to go back to the White House, but maybe he will get really mad at the media and go back for revenge or something...

I would be hugely surprised if he resigns, early on I said he might because winning an election and actually governing aren't the same thing... I mean that's why he does these weird ass Rallys ****ing 6 months into his first term, the adoration and affirmation he gets from them is what he craves and something I suppose he became addicted to during the campaign.

But now I'm not so sure if he'll resign.

Thing is, is it sustainable for him to continue to slug from one week to another, from one ****up to another?

If any other politician had said and done a 100th of the things that Trump has said and done, they'd be out on their asses.

But somehow, he limps on... For how much longer, well that's anyones guess.

The guy looks so unhappy and miserable all the time

What a contrast from this:

I doubt he will resign

At most not seek reelection. His ego will not let him resign, he is not going to go out a loser. The only way I could see him resign would be due to a serious long term health issue

Trump isn't going anywhere.

Wishful thinking for some.

I have never seen such an absolute coup against anyone as I have against this man. The Never Trumpers in his own party like Lindsey Graham, McCain, Flake, Sasse, Lee, Amish, all run to a microphone the minute Trump says something that is against their pathetic onesided thinking.

The Left well they find fault with everything Trump says and does. If he farts sideways why they are on it like stink of poo.

Trump has a lot of warts. He does not speak with a smooth tongue like professional politicians do. Like the sweet talkers on the Hill that aren't worth their weight in salt yet the ignorant masses keep re-electing them. When the Congress looks like for the most part it could do a Geritol commercial, come on...these folks have been in Washington so long they have been so compromised that they no longer have any credibility. They've done sold their souls on both sides. I wish they would just ride into the sunset and spend the rest of their days playing with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

And the media well they have become the 21st Century Goebbels extravaganza. Propaganda extraordinaire as an arm of the Democratic party. And unfortunately there are no shortages of useful idiots lapping up what they spew. My homepage is MSNBC. And let me tell you I have it that way so I can gauge what they want to push. And in the last 9 months I have yet to see a positive story about Trump. They trash the first lady. They trash his kids. They would rather focus on old stories of Lady Diana than something the First Lady has recently promoted and engaged in. They focus on Obama's tweets as being works of literary art! Yes they are very particular on what they wish to cover and focus on and their headlines well they are sensational but the article they link to is often garbage.

Much of this has to do with the Democrats are in big trouble coming into midterm elections.

My bet is the Republicans Will repeal Obamacare and pass tax reform in the very near future and gain more seats in Congress in 2018.

He can serve out DTs term and be elected twice. Not that it's likely to happen, but, without looking it up I think that's correct.

The danger from Pence is getting drowned in sanctimoniousness. No man has ever been a greater phony.

You realize the west wing is being renovated, right?

Pence would be a breath of fresh air. It allows us to get back to arguing issues. And, that is good for the US.

As for Trump. The GOP will pay the price for putting him in office. You can bet on that. But, we can certainly allow that to pass, if he walks sooner rather than later.
