NEW YORK (AP) — They wash their hands of neo-Nazis and wag their fingers at leftists. They denounce a press corps they see as biased and controversies they view as manufactured. But in the frenzied blame game over the deadly violence at a rally of white supremacists, Donald Trump's loyal base is happy to absolve the president himself.

Even as Trump's zig-zag response to the weekend bloodshed in Charlottesville, Virginia, has brought criticism from some Republican lawmakers, many men and women who helped put him in office remain unmoved by the latest uproar.

"He has done nothing to turn me away from him," said Patricia Aleeyah Robinson, of Toledo, Ohio.

Robinson is black and her support of Trump has put her at odds with many in her life, costing her friendships and straining family relationships.

But the 63-year-old retired truck driver sees the controversy over Trump's response to Charlottesville as being driven by those seeking to disrupt his agenda and push backers like her away. She said she knows he pays no deference to racists and feels he is the only president who has ever spoken directly to blacks. She admires his refusal to sugarcoat his beliefs.

This was a surprising article showing support for President Trump from people of all races from across the country. These people know how the Mainstream Media has put all of it's might into portraying the President with hyper-negative distortions and hyperbole. Not all Americans are under the spell of the PC SJW kool-aid nor the Svengali media blitz.

The President has the establishment stacked against him. He is the ultimate outsider and the former regime's plants are working overtime to thwart anything the President tries to do. The Republocrats on the Hill have closed ranks to protect the lobbying gravy train. The ''Intelligence" cartel is doing it's best to undermine his authority. Meanwhile the puppet master sits mere blocks away from the White House planning and plotting.

This article shows a cross section of Americans who want to give the President a chance. Their voices will be heard at the polls in 2018 and 2020.

I know the President has made mistakes and said a lot of stupid stuff that he shouldn't have said. But that is refreshing to me and so many others. Even though he has made blunders I'd like to see the media lay off him and work with him and try to steer his decisions rather than be so confrontational all of the time every day day in and day out. It's a vendetta they have because he won when they all said he couldn't win. They looked like fools which they truly are. The whole lot of them.

We'll see what happens next. I'm sure the MSM will be on the attack again tomorrow. They are only proving they are the absolute opposite of objective and that is not what the press is supposed to be.

That snippet is all that I agree with. Maybe it's progress. Maybe you're beginning to see that the reason he says stupid things is because....yes...he's stupid.

I know it may be hard for you to believe but there are many very rich successful idiots in the world. If you have money making money is easy.

Yes, the lines are pretty much drawn with IMO only about 20% (if that) still wavering between believing the all-hate all-the-time hyperbole of the MSM and the disloyal opposition or a willingness to let the President have a real chance at doing his job.

I agree he has made mistakes, but he is nowhere near the evil he is constantly being made out to be.

Yes, somebody who viciously attacks POWs and newspapers yet practically has to be railroaded into grudgingly condemning White supremacists is very much an outsider. How insightful

The "puppet master"? And who, per say, is this individual pulling the strings of a mythical conspiracy?

If you want a state controlled press, go live in Russia.

If you want honest press dont come to America.

If you want honest press dont come to America.

By "honest" of course, you mean "spinelessly kowtowing to Trump's every whim".

The press has never been particularly good at kowtowing.

Trump is one guy of over 315 million, give me a break.

Our so-called journalists suck.

Or at least their work does.

FULL. STOP.

Honest press is an oxymoron. And it has been for decades and knows no geographical boundaries.

I don't think Hawkeye means that at all.

That is correct. Time to move on from thinking about whether trump's most die hard supporters are going to abandon him.

Yep, there are plenty of people out there willing to follow a draft dodger off the cliff.

You are just upset that the media isn't fawning over him like you think they should.

I for one couldn't care less what the dead-enders are up to. Trump sucks and so do they.

Full. Stop.

Despite all the opposition from NeverTrumpers, and their GOPe allies, the left, and other assorted butt hurts, DJT is doing quite well.

That's the thing about "die-hard" supporters.

Yes.

From the OP link:
"You know why it doesn't bother me? Because he is everybody's president whether you like him or don't like him. Everything he does, he's doing it for our country," said Patsy Jarman, a 70-year-old retired factory worker in New Bern, North Carolina. "And if you don't like being here, you need to leave."

Such enthusiasm may be unsurprising in some ways. Trump himself boasted last year he "could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters."

I for one couldn't care less what the dead-enders are up to. Trump sucks and so do they.

Full. Stop.

The fetish over what his die hard supporters think became nauseating months ago. No more interviews with them at their rallies, no more traveling to small towns and asking them about the latest Trump controversy, no more asking them about their feelings, just....stop. These are not interesting people.

He is the ultimate outsider

Bwwwaaahahahahahahahahahaha

He's been smoozing politicians for some time now. He was just the other side of the Corporate-State. He's not the ultimate outsider, he's just a political newcomer. But he was part and parcel of that system previous.

I am upset that our country does not work very well, that so many of my peers are abusive liars, and that we have ****ed over our kids.

Thanks for trying.

So your solution is to throw your fawning support behind an egomanical inveterate liar who regularly stiffs people he does business with, defrauded people out of a quarter billion dollars, and may have colluded with a despotic regime to obtain power. Good call.

The fact that so many decided that he was the best of the lot should scare the **** out of you.

THAT's how badly the Elite Class have failed this country.

They show no signs of improvement either.
