"Short for antifacist, the term “antifa” refers to a secretive movement of combative leftists, including many self-described anarchists, who are ready and willing to use violence in order to fight white supremacists, neo-Nazis, and others they deem to be “fascists.”

Like the authoritarian movements they seek to destroy, the antifa’s origins can be traced back to Europe in the 1920s and 30s. Since the end of World War II, antifa activity has ebbed and flowed along with that of neo-Nazis, skinheads and other hate movements that have sprung up around the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States.
In the U.S. at least, the modern battle between antifa and racists has largely played out on the fringes of society. But as proponents of white supremacy and other previously politically unacceptable ideologies gained momentum with the presidential campaign and election of Donald Trump, so too did their antifascist nemeses."

And THESE are your 'antifa' heroes emerging to combat fascism.

Of course its probably beyond lost on those ignorant ****s the irony of protestimg America and burning an American flag while under the banner of the communist hammer and cycle...

Anyone that is stupid enough to believe the extreme left is any better than the extreme right is the problem in this country and no better than either of those two groups of worthless ****s. I truly wish they would let both sides gather up in say, South Dakota and square off...fight to the death without police intervention. The country would be a better place without both sides.

Daily reminder that the headcount for communism in the 20th century was 2-1/2 times more than that of Nazism.

It's embarrassing we have professors in colleges who are self proclaimed marxists that are allowed to indoctrinate impressionable minds with this garbage. I'm all for free speech, but I think it's not even up for debate that Communism and Nazism are not viewed as equally horrendous ideologies.

Antifa is indeed not a savory group at all. Some of their subgroups are every bit as violent in pursuing their political goals as some groups on the right or in other ideological groups.

Never mind the fact they have been doing this for over a year.

Funny thing about that whole 'fascist' thing. Some might call banning books, banning free speech, creating laws on free speech, punishing people for exercising free speech, shutting down dissent, and tearing down art and statues all by violent means 'fascist' acts.
