Uh, unless you are self-employed with no employess you can't speak out freely at work without consequences. And sometimes not even then. Some places give you more leeway than others but there are always limits.

Edit: NVM, I had assumed because of WaPo his politics would be similar but saw he stated he would not change the values or staff at WaPo.

Also, just because he is a Libertarian doesn't necessarily mean he is a Right winger as well.
