Haven't the Left been saying they want a TRIAL and Prosecution about election manipulation during the 2016 election?

Here is a bit of food for thought on the 2016 election, and the manipulation of its outcome which is being challenged in court as you read this thread:

The mainstream media is conspicuously ignoring a newsworthy class-action lawsuit accusing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Florida congresswoman—Debbie Wasserman Schultz—who chaired it of fraud for skewing the party’s primaries to benefit Hillary Clinton. The drama is playing out in a south Florida federal court where 150 Democratic voters and donors are also accusing their party and Wasserman Schultz of breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, unjust enrichment, and negligent misrepresentation for secretly helping Clinton get the presidential nomination over Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

“Despite the requirements in the Charter, and in spite of the multiple public declarations of neutrality and impartiality with respect to the Democratic primary process, the DNC was not neutral,” a 35-page complaint states. “To the contrary, the DNC was biased in favor of one candidate – Hillary Clinton (“Clinton”) – from the beginning and throughout the process. The DNC devoted its considerable resources to supporting Clinton above any of the other Democratic candidates. Through its public claims to being neutral and impartial, the DNC actively concealed its bias from its own donors as well as donors to the campaigns of Clinton’s rivals, including Bernie Sanders (“Sanders”).

So, we now have an ongoing TRIAL about blatant manipulation, illegal activities, and high level public official corruption!

And it is being done in defense of the Democratic Party Presidential candidate who openly admits and affirms that their ticket represented the political position farthest to the Left, to the point of representing the Socialist Position!

Isn't that exactly what the Left has been screaming for?

Well?


Why isn't the Left jubilant about this trial?


Why isn't this story, the lead story on every Progressive News Outlet?


Doesn't the Left care about free and fair elections?

She's a Congress Critter. Shouldn't the DOJ be sanctioning her, her banks, her acquaintances, her business associates and even Hillary. Election interference, same as Russians (no proof against Russians).

Maybe, but a husband and wife filing suit is not really news worthy. If something becomes of it, it will be covered.

It's not election manipulation. It's allegedly rigging a leadership race within the Democratic Party for the presidential candidacy. Nominations and internal party leadership races are not general elections. Except for possible fraud, I am not sure that this is criminal (but it should be). That's why this is a civil suit and not a criminal proceeding. As far as I am concerned the Democratic leadership which cooperated and colluded with this rigging should suffer criminal prosecution and if found guilty should serve jail time. Likewise, if (and it's a big if) it can be proven that there was collusion to sway the election by the sitting president's electoral team or their proxies, the culprits should be prosecuted and if found guilty, they should serve very long sentences without the possibility of parole. If such prosecutions produce sufficient evidence then the sitting president should be removed from office as should his vice-president (they were both on the ticket) and the Speaker of the House should be appointed to the office.

Whatever else happens the American people should flood the streets until the state undertakes extensive and fundamental reforms to the Federal election laws and processes in order to curb the role of money and influence which is perverting the electoral process and derailing democracy in America. A lottery ought to be held to pick two random and mentally competent citizens from each state and one from each district or territory to form an electoral reform commission. No corporate interests, associations, unions or other interest groups should be allowed membership to this commission. The commission should examine and reform nomination procedures of parties, primaries and caucuses, elections, gerymandering, voter registration and voter suppression, campaign finance reform, limiting political donations/contributions to only real persons (human beings who are US citizens) and capping the cotributions at a low level, blocking legal persons from interfering in the election process, limiting digital voting unless a verifiable paper-trail can be created and preserved at the instant of voting and finally imposing reporting guidelines on domestic media and social media. The rules of elections are far too important to be left to politicians and civil servants. Citizens should be prepared to paralyze the country and economy until such reform is undertaken. "E pluribus unum" and "We the people" must prevail.
