Proposal for a Debate Politics Lexicon

I don't know if this the right forum for this but it seems as good as any. Since many members compose debating points mainly or even solely by use of derogatory words for the opposition, it might be useful to have a lexicon for easy reference and to avoid strain on the brain in having to decide which nasty word to use. The other alternative would be to try to say something thoughtful, but that may be a stretch. So here is a start for a Lexicon to which members are encouraged to make contributions:

Democrats and Liberals

Bedwetters
Snowflakes
cry babbies
Nanny staters
Thumbsuckers

Republicans and Conservatives

Bubble dwellers
Know nothings
Ideologues
Deviants (with a fondness for little boys and restroom men's room dates; also ***** grabbers among the minority heteros)

I think another good idea would be to put "LOL" in the header along with B I and U, for easy use by those members who apparently believe it makes a telling statement.

Democrats:

Anything that is a variation of Trump (e.g. Trumptard)

A thread for cataloguing forum name calling. What could possible go wrong?

I know what you mean, but that's actually used against Repubs so it would actually be;

Republicans:

Oops...I meant that's what Democrats use. Thanks.

Here's an historical insulting phrase generating kit. Just say "Thou" and then pick one term from each of the three columns, and Bob's your Uncle, you have a classy, classical insult: Shakespeare Insult Kit

Example - Thou craven unchin-snouted flax-wench. Or just stick with Trumpette and Commie Bastard.

Sometimes it's best to just sit back, pop another cold one, and enjoy the show - or just jump in with sarcastic derision that demonstrates the ... well, you get the rest, being a DM and a Dallas fan and all.

Bush supporters were Bushwives and Bushbots. Obama supporters were Obamabots and a few others I can't remember. What did Limbaugh and his ilk call Clinton supporters?

Calling Trump supporters Trump**** is using the same playbook.

I've heard Hillbot being used but I don't know if Rush said that or not as I don't listen to his show.

Yeah, the ones I remember were direct insults to Clinton herself. Hildabeast, Cankles, etc.

Remember any from the Bill Clinton era?

Slick Willie was Bill Clinton's. We had a guy here who called him an unconvicted rapist.

Lol nice, good list!
Im glad ive never used any of those besides snowflake but the thing with snowflake is I know if got popular recently because something happened with it (i dont know what actually) but I first heard it in like the 80s or 90s so i never really looked at it as anything partisan.

Don't forget whiners and crybabys under liberals.

See thread owner.

Is "Libtard" still around? It's been a while since I've heard that one. I really like "Republican't" because it is a bit more clever than the playground level insults like snowflake or whatever.

But would Bill consider Slick Willie an insult?

I mean that is the goal, isn't it?

Whiners, yes. A must. The idea should be to assemble a thorough list so that members can go right to it, click off a few choice ones, and go on to something else, no more working through the annoying process of thinking about what you are saying. I saw a really fine example of this yesterday which gave me the idea for this thread. In a one sentence post every word that was not a preposition was a buzzword.

Whiners is a nice one for both sides.

But also whine is the perfect verb for responding to any criticism from your opponent - instantly purging his or her criticism of any legitimacy. One of the very best non-debating weapons you'll find. A must for dummies.

We should be debating the positions of the opposition, but by your tongue in cheek approach I think that is the message you are trying to send.

Yeah. Posts that rely on words like "whine" or on name calling, and many do, are dumb or lazy or both.
