A stereotype based on an assumption about the race of the candidates?
Hey I was only making a theory.
A stereotype based on an assumption about the race of the candidates?
its posts like this that are the reason people call deplorables deplorable
Why is that racist?
You mean light colored snack foods? He is the type that can find "racism" in a bag of tater chips:roll:
Well that is surprise (not) - you imply that the poster is deplorable and otherwise ignore the quoted post's content. Do you favor the idea of having a convicted felon running a city or simply declare anyone that may question the wisdom of that idea a racist?
Therevarebsome exceptions in Detroit according to the articleI did not think felons can run for public office? But hey, its Detroit, I guess they have to take somebody!
How is telling the truth racist?
I explained it once, is there a reason you cant get it?

You did not explain anything but in your own mind.
The day I "get" any of your points, I will be seriously concerned about myself.I don't have any control whatsoever over what you get and what you don't get that's something you're going to have to deal with

Pointing out a fact that felons are running for Mayor in Detroit is no more "racist" than saying I like vanilla ice cream. No one mentioned race but you, you automatically assume the felons are black, if anyone was racist, it's you!
just more confusion
I explained it once, is there a reason you cant get it?
Reporting the reality that half of the candidates are convicted felons has nothing to do with race. You are out of your mind.
Do you consider it racist to wish to prevent convicted felons from buying guns? What, exactly, makes the OP racist?
Detroit — Half of the eight mayoral hopefuls on Detroit’s primary ballot next week have been convicted of felony crimes involving drugs, assault or weapons, a Detroit News analysis shows.

How fitting!
So no one can ever redeem themselves in your eyes apparently. If they served their time they've paid their debt to society. The only cases where I say they shouldn't be able to run for office is if their felony was committed with the use of an office.
So u would agree a convicted felon say assault with intent to commit murder should own a gun?
And a sex offender should drive an ice cream truck around the subdivision?
Did I say that?
How about you stick to your own topic?
You said...If they served their time they've paid their debt to society.... meaning their crime should not be held against them 10 years later

Look at you skipping over half my post I made. I also said that felons who abuse office shouldn't be allowed to then again hold office. Its no wonder why you skipped over that part.
Now, back to your very own topic that you are trying to derail into a gun thread for some reason.
Care to discuss your topic about holding office as a felon?
They should not
Just like u say they should not own a gun....but owning a gun is a right running for office is not
