But 'irrelevant'? 6 months of Trump hasn't diminished our relevancy, nor will 4 years. And as far as the 'laughing stock' claim, Trump makes himself the butt of many jokes, but the USA as a country is still making better decisions than many EU countries that take delight in ridiculing the USA. Just look at Sweden; their government is actively working to resettle 150 admitted ISIS fighters, giving them new names and identification. Sweden is in fact treating active terrorists like refugees. When the next atrocity occurs in Stockholm, Lofven will look like the biggest jackass around.
