Transgender issue: Don't take the bait

This is nothing more than another pale attempt by our pervert POTUS to deflect the story line away from increasing evidence of Russian/Trump election collusion and shift the narrative to yet another controversial topic that his idiotic supporters will lap up.

Possibly. Then ignore it. Especially as it seems that transgender persons on drugs are at enhanced risk and a risk to comrades in combat situations, when the drugs cannot be supplied.

Except that Trump said in his usual amazingly awesome style, without actually consulting anyone even though he said he did, that they wouldn't be allowed to serve in "any capacity" so anyone who believes this actually has anything to do combat readiness or unit cohesion is deluding themselves.

Well being a former military man myself, and seeing exactly what being transgender in the military, and in the field can do to you, or you're squad. I would have to agree with the action being taken.

Then again if you want to sit in you're own little "I hate Trump & He colluded despite no real evidence" bubble, go ahead.

Ignorance is bliss after all.

But if it did impact combat readiness "which it does" would you be okay with it?

Because you know how high suicide rates are for those who are going through such a transition, or those that have actually finished the transition in general. Compound that with putting on 80lbs of gear, and working in near 120'F temperatures. Not to mention in that setting, most of you're smallest personal problems become magnified, and "unfortunately" they begin to clash with the problems being experience by you're squad mates.

So go ahead, and try to mull that over for a bit, then get back in you're bubble at you're leisure.

We had to stop trying to used logic over the actions of this idiot even if it now mean facing the fact that the nation is without anyone steering the ship of state.

Kind of similar to us all being on the Exxon Valdez heading out to sea with the ship being under the control of a drunk or at the very least incompetent captain.

No, you did not personally see a transgender in the military harming military readiness. You're making up vague, anecdotal stories to support your personal beliefs.

Well I've tried to tell people that it can reach up to 150 degrees, but everyone tends to say its a lie. Even though they have never worn full battledress in such a location before.

I have no doubt you have met countless transgender people within your service that went above and beyond the call of duty with absolutely no care, or concern for how you personally choose to live your life. It's a shame that you are so bigoted, and so close minded you cannot do the same for your fellow brothers and sisters.

Yep, tell us the sad story about how when you were "sweeping for IEDs" you looked over and saw a transgender soldier playing with his genitalia and putting everyone's life at risk. Being one of the millions and millions of people who were once in the military does not give your personal opinion any extra validity.

He can't actually point to a case where he personally saw transgenders harming mission readiness, he's just one of those people that throws around his veteran status on the internet in an attempt to convince people that his opinion matters.

The mission of the military is to win military conflicts. It isn't a setting where social engineering and experimentation is to be encouraged. Anything that impedes the goal of winning military conflicts should be kept out of the military. Surely people who have unstable gender identities are potentially a liability.

The thing about transgendered people is that the gender issues are usually just the beginning of it. These people are disturbed in all sorts of ways. Just speaking the truth.

Hmm guess no one knows what its like near a volcano, then again I guess plenty of variables were omitted from that survey. Like you like to do with everything else that people say.

It does not remove the fact that Transgender individuals in the military can cause more trouble than the issue is worth, and the fact that you all treat this as a static issue shows just how inept at this debate you are.

What Trump is proposing is not the fact of the matter, as the issue will be undoubtedly subject to change.

Can none of you even begin to realize that?

I had a young girl on a Tug. She said that she couldn't handle the lines because of her period, cramps. etc. etc. etc.. I told her to get her ass on deck anyways and do her ****ing job.

Long story made short, she complained to our female XO.

I almost died when the XO told her....................I bleed just like you honey......and I suggest that you do what your engineer tells you, or, I will be seeing you again for disciplinary reasons.

Well, we don't actually know with whom he consulted. I was surprised to learn in this connection that he had communicated with Mattis at least a day before going live.

How many volcanoes did you disarm IEDs next to in Iraq? I also still haven't heard the story of the time the transgendered soldier nearly got you killed.
