Wait...WHAT? Did Trump just fire Preibus? New Chief of Staff announced via Tweet

Yes. He'd be a dictator if the party had to pledge loyalty to him.
Not a dictator. Trump is asking for loyalty from his White House staff. Asking for a stoppage of leaks. Convincing others members of his cabinet and White House staff to get involved in the prosecution of leaks.

Your omitting something. Mueller wasn't appointed until after Trump fired Comey creating a situation where an independent investigator was necessary.

Why is this a witch hunt? What kind of government would we be if we didn't investigate suspicious meetings between a presidential candidate's staff and a hostile foreign power?

It's the JOB of the intelligence agencies to investigate these things. And of course you have to follow the money if you're investigating collusion.

I don't understand how Trump supporters can be so irresponsible about national security.

If Trump hasn't done anything wrong, why does he care? Let the investigation play out.
How ironic. Your boy Comey may, quite possibly someday, be brought up on leaking charges or charges of collusion in his decision to 'exhonerate' Hillary from her unprotected server scandal. What's your philosophy? For example, if Hitler were to be an independent investigator in the US federal government, would that also prevent Hitler from ever being fired? HUM?

This is a witch hunt. The investigation started with attempts to tie the incoming Trump administration with Russian in its collusion of the 2016 election. BTW, the accusation of collusion is misleading. The Russians (or whoever) didn't collude in the 2016 election anymore than public education or MSM colluded in the 2016 election. Matter of fact, the MSM and public education colluded to a much greater extent than Russia (or whoever) because there is a direct correlation between the brainwashing of voters by MSM and public education and their voting results and no direct correlation in voting results occuring between voting website popups and the hacking of the DNC website.
Let me put this to you more clearly: Do my posted words automatically make you change you mind on the topic? No? Why, then, are you attesting popups and hacking of the DNC website automatically cause voters to vote a certain way? HUM?

The Mueller investigation has become a rabbit hole of anything in an attempt to prosecute the Trump administration. Did, for example, Trump JR. not include EVERYTHING or misspeak while under oath? Trump JR. may go to jail.

Why does Trump care? Because one misstatement or one document filed incorrectly may land one of his family or staff in jail AND NOTHING MORE INTO THE PROPOSED COLLUSION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION WOULD BE UNCOVERED BY THE MUELLER INVESTIGATION..while it churns merrily on to, what, Trump's tax returns? Melania's life before she met Trump?

As you've seen after congressional voting, the Republican Party is made up of many warring factions who all think they're the base of the party. Someone had to get that bunch into cohesion even just for a presidential election. Preibus' job as head of the RNC was to get the GOP candidate elected president whoever that would be. He accomplished that and was rewarded with the White House Chief of Staff job which needs not so much a different skill set than head of the RNC but a iron will to be the one who allows or disallows access to the president because there still are members of the Trump team in the White House who are not loyal to Trump and who think, after years of public service, their way is the right and only way.

Installing Kelly as White House Chief of Staff obviously hasn't stopped the leaks, the disloyalty in the White House.
Expect further resignations, firings and, if Sessions is true to his word, the beginnings of prosecutions for leaking to make a more loyal team to Trump in the White House.

I think to myself, why am I wasting my time trying to explain this to a person disloyal to Trump, like you? Because someone who reads this post may have an open mind, understand this and make the government of the US better for it.

You know there's a difference between supporting trump and being loyal to trump right? While I'm neither, I'm curioius as to which you classify yourself as.

I consider myself loyal to the US. Of all the candidates in the 2016 election, IMO, Trump was the candidate most loyal to the US.

Sorry he's disappointed you so badly since then.

I know what Trump wants to do. I also know there are those who wish to deter that agenda at every turn. I don't blame Trump for not getting his agenda accomplished. He certainly hasn't stopped trying.

Executive orders can only get you so far. Then there is the, as one, obstructionist oppositon party, congress (including GOPs) and SCOTUS as examples of detractors to Trump's agenda..detractors to the mandate of the 2016 election since Trump won the electoral vote.

Trump seems to know how to lead but I doubt there are many other members of the GOP who know how to lead. Rather, they know how to snipe and fragment the leadership.

A mandate you say?

The right-wing SCOTUS and the US Constitution are standing in the way of trumps "mandate". Too funny.
