Remarkably, they are cheering health care, as currently provided in the US, remains in their lap.

Given what their own leadership believes about Obamacare, one would think they would want a way out of the unilateral responsibility they own for creating it.

Time will tell if work will continue on addressing the Democrats problem, or if politics will cause Republicans to step back and let the Democrats health care program run it's inevitable course.

Good on him. Remove the individual mandate, and you make the situation even worse than full repeal. You simply cannot get rid of the mandate and maintain a ban on insurers dropping/rejecting people with pre-X, among other things including the ban on lifetime caps.

It was a disgustingly cynical move to deliberately destroy insurance so they could lie to their willing choir about Obamacare supposedly "falling apart" on its own.

Those 3 GOP senators are the adults in the room. Those 218 house members now have a huge target on their backs for next year, as well as down-ballot state governors and state legislators .

Actually the bill would have been bad for his constituents and his Governor told him that. Trump was not really part of any of this and that is on him. Threatening and bullying will get Trump nowhere. This is not the Apprentice.

Because it isn't going to die on it's own like they hoped it would, it will stay there unless they repeal it, people are actually seeing the benefits of it, and it's getting harder and harder to get people to hate it. Is there a reason why Obamacare must be completely destroyed? Or is it just assumed that there's some kind of logical excuse to hide behind while sticking it to Obama?

And yet repealing his legacy is still a top priority, go figure. Dems will be happy to own Obamacare with it's rising popularity and increasingly obvious benefits, Republicans end up owning the corner they've painted themselves into over the last 7 years.

At special times like this, we need a tri-presidency; I'll give GOPs Pence for domestic as long as I get Sen. Corker for foreign affairs; trump can do the ceremonial **** and still make an ass of himself ;
