NYT just quote a traitor to this country in defense of Trans

Anyone insisting on having Manning represent the Transgender movement in the military needs to sit down and let the adults speak. You do not allow someone like Manning to speak for your issues. There are far more decorated, better revered, and far better troops than Manning to represent the movement than someone like Manning.

Another worthless angry spam thread. How many have you made tonight?

Every time you get owned on one of your insipid threads, you start another one.

How sad.

Reminds me of those MickeyW threads...

Funny you're ok with a traitor like trump working with the Russians to meddle with us elections.

LOL when I read the first posting of this thread I was wondering if the poster was referring to Trump or not.

You are probably right, but calling Manning a traitor was over the top. She paid the price for her crime, but her crime helped change policy and brought truth to light about the human costs of our wars.

Manning systematically hindered our ability to gather on OPFOR dramatically because she wanted to make a quick buck. She betrayed the intelligence community, the Army, and the country all while using the LGBT as a shield. She did not pay the price and the POS should have spent the rest of her life in prison for endangering the warfighters.

How was she different than those who poured blood on draft files during the Vietnam war and then went to jail, or the guy who released the Pentagon papers? I may be ignorant at the extent of any damage that she did, so please explaine further, but as I understood it she revealed truths about our recent wars and casualties that were important for us to know. A DOD study stated that no significant damage was done to US interests, but elsewhere it notes that contacts in Afghanistan and Iraq might be in danger.

Wars produce atrocities. Bad wars worse ones. Wars waged in our democracy have the checks of Congress. But our bad wars based on lies or stupidity, such as the tragedies of Vietnam and Afghanistan/Iraq, often need the check of citizens also willing to break laws. I will see you prosecuting Manning, and raise you by suggesting that those responsible for detention without charge/trial/lawyers and water boarding should perhaps share Manning's jail cell.
