Thats a really excelent question. Where is the line we draw and what limit do we have on grattitude. You really cut straight to the heart of this debate.

I dont have a clear answer which is why i struggle. I think one of the problems is we try to make it a one size fits all on something that it does not apply too. All soliders do not contribute equally. Some do things that merit more than others.

Exactly, who are we to judge? The military probably spends a lot more on Viagra than it does Transgender operations, anyway.
 
Wow, Trump sure knows how to solve a problem. After months of hearing about the damage trans have wrought on the military, morale, unit cohesion, and combat readiness, he valiantly stepped in to save the day to keep our military from falling apart.

Because he didn't tell is SoD anything about this. Everyone seems blind-sided by the announcement and as the right wingers keep telling us, we shouldn't trust anonymous sources as trump said he wouldn't mention who these generals were.

I never said one word about what they said, in agreement or disagreement. In fact, if you look at my post in the first thread on this subject, you'll see that your bigotry is grossly misplaced. I'm just pointing out that Dems. can't seem to conceive of a party member not agreeing with everything that all other party members say.

Trump out of nowhere, while getting a stream of negative press as usual for his antics, this time his tweet bullying of his loyal AG Jeff Sessions, drops this transgender attack out of nowhere.
1. Trump ran on supporting LGBT rights
2. Trump claims this came from the Military, but the Military denies that and was caught completely off guard
3. Trump dropped this bomb in a ****ING TWEET, with no real explanation or details, leaving everyone reeling.

This has **** ALL to do with the fact that even Republicans think Trump is a madman. Trump BEHAVING like a madman, is the issue, has been, always will be. That some Republicans admit it, is great and all, but it doesn't change that fact.

You dont know if he discussed it or not. The article plainly states that its unclear. And your right i dont trust trumps unnamed sourves anymore than o trust the medias.

I find ot hard to believe he did mot discuss thos before announcing it but mot impossible. He may of left that meetimg with the Christian group and impulsivly declared the ban. We need more imformation to kmow
