Homeless in Hawaii

I watched most of the video, and most of their homeless do not seem to be true homeless, but rather squatters, usually people who have jobs but can't afford rent and instead live where they can until they get kicked out.

I Figured out squatters while living in cali, they would go on blm land and live there 2 weeks at a time at which point they had to move, usually to another location on that blm land, since if it is more than 2 weeks it is considered living there instead of camping on free govt land.

Many of those guys doing it were college students, and young people living out of tents and their trucks, but they were not completely jobless, they would have cellphones, a vehicle, vehicle insurance money for food a generator a camp stove a nice tent etc. I saw a lot of squatters during the housing crisis, they even had families living out of tents, but most of them still had nicer stuff and did not look homeless, and the 2007-09 housing crisis caused rent to skyrocket in many areas because house values were falling fast and with so many forclosures the rent market was being flooded, causing many to try and be squatters atleast until they could rent a place.

Now some people stay squatters, you usually find them on blm land in most states and in texas they usually use free camping areas or the dirt cheap ones, and use the 2 week rule packing up and moving then moving back. The real true homeless seem to me to be mostly the mentally ill combined with former war vets who left the military and completely failed to integrate back to civilian life, and living in poor conditions, not squatters with nice stuff who are too cheap to pay rent.

I'm thinking what pushed the prices up is the tourist industry. Helping with any kind of funds is a band aid, unless they are building affordable places to live.

Nice dodge. Liberals have all of the solutions for the poor and yet it is the liberal cities and liberal states who have more homeless than anybody. How can that be? I read recently that Hawaii wants to start basic income for everyone. Let's just let everyone not work and let everyone be homeless druggies and we'll give them all basic income. This was YOUR thread, not some conservative thread.

What's Mississippi's problem then? Being at the bottom in most things good and at the top in most things bad and all. They did eek out over Louisiana though. Hell, 41-50 are all red except one. Go figure.

I guess you should really bone up on facts before you try your one off's like this. :lol:

Most bums aka homeless congregate in the big cities that are all run by lilberal democrats

Texas is conservative (red) but cities like Dallas or San Antonio are deep blue liberal hell-holes that cater to the dredges of society

No, that is what the open borders crowd does with them

A border wall with strong Border Patrol backup would have kept those illegal aliens in Mexico where they belong

As for the homeless lets open homeless shelters far away from civilization and keep them there till they come to their senses

There must be plenty of national park land in hawaii that liberals could give them

If you can decide who is native hawaian and who isn't

I can foresee a lot of fake hawaians like Sen Pokahantas the fake Indian trying to get some of that free land
 
This thread is loaded with good examples of 'compassionate conservatism' and Jesus's teachings of helping the poor. ;)

Sad what Republicans in this country have become.
