What Will Become of Republicans?

I have no problem with anyone presenting "constructive criticism". But that's not what you presented. Do you need to be reminded?

Anyway, it's actually your blind hypocrisy that causes you to get dismissed...not whatever I think about your views.

Its not hypocritical to point out the truth, that the GOP can't compromise with each other and thus can't pass Trumpcare, if this wasn't a problem, then Trumpcare would have been passed.

You just seem to be using "hypocrisy" as a slogan to dismiss anyone who is pointing out facts you don't like, like why something like Trumpcare has not passed yet.

Don't shoot the messenager.

If you really are not dismissive of views you don't like, why don't move away from Ad Hominem attacks and address my points?

Your whole" you are a hypocrite and you are dismissed" is an Ad Hominem attack, so do you want to debate the facts or not?

Will the party prove once and for all that they hate liberals more than they love the rule of law? Will they become the party of the depraved and delusional, the party that will go down in history as the defenders of the indefensible?

Time will tell, but the clock is rapidly approaching midnight.

My money is on depraved, delusional and hate for all things liberal.

I think down the line that the GOP will abandon it's rabid base, and the die hard Trump loving segment of the GOP, and follow what's stated in the results of their 2013 "Autopsy Report" based on Romney's loss in 2012.

I think they will eventually make more attempts at trying to win more minority support, especially if Demographic trends continue the way they are. At the end of the day though, all the GOP really cares about is Tax Cuts for the rich. As long as they have that, they don't particularly care who votes for them, or who is president.

I would argue you do not have two parties now at all, and you are trapped into thinking humanity never evolves.

You make a good point. Clearly, if I believe that 233 years of precedent in how American elections have worked (two party ststem basically went into effect when Washington stepped down, so I counted from 1784) suggests a pattern dependent on the legal framework of the US constitution, it's because I'm an inflexible and uncreative thinker who just doesn't have enough of a heart to believe in the unstoppable power of hope and friendship. I concede my defeat.

I've been watching them both for 6 decades, sorry. You all sound alike to me, they all take money from the same donors, they all deliver the same **** to the unsubstantial people, and Goldman Sachs is always all up in the white house regardless. Same societal wealth extraction, same endless wars of profiteering, same for profit prisons, same erosion of the working class, same demonization of the impoverished.

I'll give you that one. The **** stew or sandwich options the two-party system offers tends to taste like **** either way.

When talking about the Republican Party, you really need to specify which part of the Party you are talking about. There is a split in the Party...the Elites who control Congress and comprise of a fair portion of talking potato heads in the media and the conservative base who nominated and elected Trump against the wishes of the Elites.

The Base: I'm sure a sizable portion of this group hate liberals, especially for all the damage they've done during Obama's Presidency.

The Elites: They don't hate the liberals at all. They'd rather work with the liberals than support their base since it enables them to retain their cushy existence.

If anything destroys the Republican Party, it'll be this internal split. Not any hatred for liberals.

"Elites, liberals and Obama...only Trump is pure." Sheesh.

Cynics make good democrats like fences make good neighbors. It is not goodness and love that will keep order in society. Never trust them that get that wrong. ;)

"the GOP can't compromise with each other and thus can't pass Trumpcare" is true.

WHAT???

Look, I get that your MO is simply to attack whatever party/POTUS is currently running the show. That's fine. Play some devil's advocate and all. No problem.

But when you start a thread can you at least provide something of substance? An example of the crap you're insinuating/accusing them of?

Not just some random comments that mean nothing.

Provide some meat and potatoes with the runny gravy you're trying to pass off as a meal.

Fighting against anti-American leftist loons is neither depraved, or delusional. It's patriotic, and the right thing to do.

Just as fighting against anti-American righty loons is neither depraved, or delusional. It's patriotic, and the right thing to do.

The two party system has pretty much screwed us all.

The Dems and the Reps are in a symbiotic relationship.
They need each other.
They feed off each other.
They survive because of each other.
They protect each other.

They've found a perfect power balance to make sure each other progresses while the rest of America regresses. The current R's & D's don't exist to help us. They exist to help themselves. So yes - it's purely a one-party system, with two different nicknames.

Here you go again. Instead of successfully defending my charge of hypocrisy, you charge me with using "Ad Hominem" attacks and justify this charge with...an ad hominem attack. Thank you for proving my point.

Actually, I DON'T want to debate your contentions. If I had, I would have. I simply pointed out your blatant hypocrisy.

"Elites, liberals and Obama...only Trump is pure." Sheesh.

I don't think I've ever said Trump is "pure", so please don't put words in my mouth. I won't accept that.

No, Trump isn't "pure", but he is a threat to those Congressional Elites and the nice little setup they've created to increase their own position, power and wealth at the expense of the well-being of the rest of the country. Trump isn't "pure", but he is a threat to the agenda and actions of Obama during his term. Trump isn't "pure", but he is a threat to the multi-national corporate interests who have worked so hard to control the global economy to their benefit alone.

Tell me, calamity, do you include yourself with those groups who are threatened by Trump?

I applaud them for not passing it until they come up with something as perfect as possible. If that is a revised ACA or something entirely different doesn't matter to me. We have to realize that Obamacare is not as great as many want us to think, so why hang onto something that doesn't work just because it was conceived under a previous administration? We should insist on our representatives working together, day and night without recess or break, until they come up with a plan that is much improved and they are willing to partake of as well. Partisan bickering doesn't serve anyone, least of all the people. We aren't pawns in a game, we are human beings.
Trumpcare <=> Obamacare, Rep <=> Dem nonsense has to stop. DC works for us and non of them represent only this or that side but constituents of both parties.

I think youre a bit obsessed with Republicans. If history is any judge, nothing will change, and theyll keep winning elections, now, or later, after the Democrats win some, set a new low bar, and then hand it back. And you'll still be here claiming the end of the world. Or maybe youre getting close to maximum outrage/disillusionment and youll join those of who have given up and are now just watching the show.

In his buddying up with Putin, we are all threatened. But only those who understand modern-day Russia know why.

Oh please, you use the word "hypocrisy" so often and ignore almost any Republican hypocrisy so often, that your use of term renders it meaningless, it becomes a slogan to attack liberals then any sort real use of the word.

I guess great Republican heroes like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Trump never engage in hypocrisy, they are the great ideologically pures ones who always tell the truth and thus should never be questioned:

This is another reason the Republican party is dysfunctional, they deflect any sort critcism and ignore their own sins.

What are you reading? What's your source?

Countless books from "Stongman" to the "Rise of Russia." Articles in every magazine and website from Spiegal to BBC to New Yorker to NYT to Vice to the Guardian to Foreign Affairs, to the Economist to...

Are you serious?

First off yes, I'm serious.

Secondly, so you're reading western published and/or authored material, and thinking you can determine how the "real" Russia operates and thinks?

What do you read, Russian media? :doh

I'm not the one pretending to know the "real intentions and behaviors" of Russia. That was you.

I don't know what you are pretending. But, it certainly is annoying.

Look into gay rights in Putin's Russia.
Look into theft of national wealth in Putin's Russia.
Look at how many Russian state officials own Dachas and valuable real estate in foreign countries.
Look into off shore bank accounts of said officials.
Look into strange deaths of anyone saying anything against Putin.
Look into imprisonment of leaders opposing Putin.
Look into ***** Riot.
