Pretty much everybody on the winning side voted for "over Hillary". The certainty is that Trump could win. No other candidate can prove that point.

How many rather important elections anywhere in the USofA has a Democrat won within the last 4 to 6 years other than Obama?

A few rather 100,000 footish stances on some social issues doesn't seem to really be working well for them.
Some of those social issues are at the mercy of SCOTUS. Lose one more POTUS election and SCOTUS could really change things drastically.

You sure you want to hang everything on "The Democraps are just fine as they are" ???????

That's a risky gamble. Risky.

It's not nonsense. The D's are floundering. They've got nothing. They thought H. Clinton was their Queen. They forced her through. They LOST.

They alienated huge portions of their younger support group by ignoring their push for Bernie.

I'm not suggesting the D's will implode. I'm saying they've pretty much already done that.

Now they need to rebuild.

Question is, can they do it in time for 2020, or even 2018?

Social issues are important, but there's also plenty of other things to worry about as well.

Social issues are NOT the only thing people use as a guide when it comes to voting.

Jobs. Economy. War. Peace. Safety. Health Care.....

A dude with a family that's unemployed sure as hell don't care where trans-guys can pee.

So "D's", what's the best plan for 2020? Are ya gonna go with insanity and just nominate some tried and true D that's been slobbering around Washington for decades?
Or perhaps are you gonna try a new avenue and seek out a newcomer to the whole show?

Hopefully you won't go with the "anyone is better than Trump so we'll just nominate anyone" tactic.
That didn't work for the R's against Obama.

You guys/gals need to get over your extreme BUTTHURT over 2016 elections and start developing a "real plan" that isn't just focused on being anti-Trump.

Focus, for once, on doing what's best for the majority of regular Americans.
Fiscal responsibility. Socially open an welcoming to all.

Don't just point fingers at Trump and call him a poopyhead. Don't enlist idiots like Madonna and such in hopes of using "star power" to get votes.

Have a real plan. A true platform. Then find the guy/gal who can promote that with passion and honesty.
Also, find somebody who doesn't have decades of shadows and mistrust in their portfolio.

He's an "unindicted criminal" before actual charges are announced. He knows it, which is why he's looking into whether he can self-pardon once that shoe drops.

DWS? Debbie Wasserman Schultz? I think she is radioactive. Developed a distaste for her before I ever heard of the DNC. There are no plausible candidates on your list. If they are hiding someone, time is drawing nigh!

Let's see if I got this right.

We are going continue to have overpriced health care.
We are going to continue over taxing the middle class.

I can see a need for those institutions. I'll give you that one.
