Hmmm...two examples from the 80s on very highly rated national programs seems serious enough to me. Sorry, but my actual examples amount to more evidence than your say so as a random message board poster.
No, because you have no examples. I know Trump has been talking about running for years...and it wasn't until 2011 when he decided to become a birther to pander to low information GOP voters is when he started to be taken seriously as a potential presidential contender. Christ, even Andrew Breibart of all people saw your new GOP messiah for the fraud that he is. You know Andrew Breitbart, right? The same guy who created the website that currently kisses Trump's ass 24/7?
Obviously you don't know what open primaries are and that more people are independents than party affiliated.
Obviously you are embarrassed by the fact that some Reality T.V. Star is the face of American conservatism. And you know who's fault that is? Your fellow GOP voters. Again, I understand your pain, as you watch Trump single handily drag your political party and your garbage ideology into the sewer.
Lol...sorry, but I've clearly debunked your entire premise via actual examples and reason. Conversely, you've plugged your ears and just screamed "race, race, race, race" endlessly. That's not a rebuttal that I take very seriously. I mean, Obama, a black man, won the office twice. Not once, twice, by large margins. Now Trump ran against a white woman but it's about race? Please. All these states that flipped from blue to red did it because of race, even though it didn't when we had an actual black man running? Please.
Take your broken and cliche message to the Daily Kos, where people will pat you on the back for hysteria vs reality.
Absolutely, Trump won because he used race and the bogus birther issue to gin up hatred among the GOP's rabid base. Obama won twice? Absolutely, thanks to strong support among liberal voting blocs. The same people at Trump rallies and who voted for some Reality T.V. Star birther aren't the same people who voted for a black guy twice. Trump would have NEVER in a million years gotten where he's at without race, and he knows it, and for that matter the GOP knows it as well. As for the blue states that turned red, take a look at the numbers. It isn't because of Trump, it's because hillary was such an awful candidate that she lost support that Obama had previously in 2008 and 2012. This benefited Trump, which is how he barely squeaked by a win in those states.
