Then you would probably win.

I introduced my dad to cycling about 25 years ago. He had signs of upcoming health problems, and he knew he had to do something. So, he jumped in with both feet. Bought the best bike money could buy, cut back on his working hours, and began riding close to 100 miles a day, every day.

At 64, he rode across America with a group using cycling outfitter. They do 3500 miles in less than 30 days. He wasn't happy with his performance--he finished, but not at the front of the pack. So, he bought an even better bike, read up on nutrition and learned a few other tricks of the trade, and then did it again, at age-66.

We ride 100 miles together twice a year. I can't shake him. But, for a good decade he sure could drop me. lol...that experience encouraged me to quit smoking, buy better bikes, and learn about nutrition and other tricks of the trade. :)

Thats a really awesome story. My roommate lost his license from DWIs and he bikes everywhere. It keeps him in better shape than me. I have to admit once in awhile i hop on his bike and take it for a spin. Just a few miles, nothing like what your talking about, but its a lot of fun.

I'm biased, but if ever there can be found a fountain of youth, it has two wheels and pedals.
