I bet your big into punctuation too aren't you

I am into facts. I don't like lies. Do I think he did it.. yes.. but to say that he was convicted of murder is incorrect and a lie.

That is correct. We can all believe he did it. But, he was found not guilty in criminal court. Hence his current bid for probation should not be affected in any way shape or form by his connection to the double homicide.

In fact, hard as it is to do, we are supposed to treat him as if he were innocent of that crime.

Play all the games you want Simpson was found guilty of murder

He was found liable by the preponderance of evidence in civil court. He was found not guilty in criminal court due to there being (in the eyes of the jury) reasonable doubt.

Its a pity Leslie Nielsen already passed away, if they freed OJ while he was still alive they could have made more Naked Gun movies.

One of the OJ movies showed Nicole mocking him for those roles. He didn't like that.

Nope, he was found more likely than not to have been the killer and thus was financially punished. In order to pay that civil judgement he must be freed to do so.

Errr....you can't leave that story there. What happened after that??? What was his answer???

He and we turned and walked away.

His sentence was for 33 years with 9 served as the earliest for parole. I understand that most would be granted parole but I hope he doesn’t. Maybe this is true karma at work, if so, he spends the rest of his days behind bars.

Someone above said it best (paraphrasing): OJ is bad news. I hope they keep him locked up.

There is a difference between a civil trial and a criminal trial. For one, the difference between 'preponderance of evidence' verses 'reasonable doubt'.

Gosh, thanks for making that distinction for me. I had no idea.

OJ will be getting out link conning soon

If I have to see anything more about him on the news or anywhere else I'm going to vote that they give him the chair

The thing that saddens me the most about OJ is that he was a personal hero of mine. I fondly remember watching him run through airports in Hertz commercials while wearing number 32 Buffalo Bills pajamas as a kid. That's saying something for a Texas family where not promoting the Cowboys or Oilers was tantamount to sacrilege.

Unfortunately, OJ is going to benefit from the Justice system on this. I don't believe sentencing for "Crime B" should make up for a failure to convict "Crime A". He was guilty and should have been convicted. The fact he was acquitted of murder is on us -- the public -- and we need to live with that consequence in the same way Manson's sentence was commuted to life when the death penalty was removed.

Criminal sentences shouldn't be retribution or a "second bite at the apple". He got his parole...not terribly happy about it but it appears he was held to the same standard as other prisoners.

You might as well get over It cause he will be All over the place.

Who gets the first interview?
Who gets him to slip up with new info?
How will his civil judgment effect his life?

The fall will be full of freshly spun OJ stories
